Very kind and excellent cuisine

Yesterday, on Valentine's Day, my wife and I had dinner here. The food was delicious, the place was lovely, the food excellent, and the staff was polite and helpful. We'll definitely be back!

The quality of the food remains a guarantee, and the restaurant's history is palpable, but lately the overall experience has slipped a bit. With the new menu, prices have increased significantly (some dishes really skyrocket... a real blow), and I was disappointed to no longer find some of the signature sandwiches, likely removed for cost reasons. The real weakness, however, remains the wait management on Saturday evenings. Over the phone, they reiterate that they don't accept reservations, but once you arrive (even early, around 8:00 PM), you're faced with already full lists for the following time slots (8:30 PM, 9:00 PM, 9:30 PM). This creates confusion and gives the impression of unclear preferential channels. What are these? Reservations without waiting? It's not difficult to manage reservations. Millions of restaurants around the world do it. It's not nuclear physics. It would be appropriate to clarify the access procedures, if only for transparency towards out-of-town customers. A little more organization would make the service worthy of the cuisine.

The food and location are amazing, the only flaw is the very, very slow service. Otherwise, nothing to complain about. The meat and sandwiches are excellent quality and cooked to perfection, the staff are very friendly, and the place is super clean. Highly recommended; maybe go during the week and not on the weekend.

I've been to Sale e Pepe and I have to say it's one of those places you'll want to return to. The place has a warm and informal atmosphere, perfect for an evening with friends without sacrificing quality. The staff is cheerful, fast, and always available to recommend the right dish or beer.
