The quality of the food remains a guarantee, and the restaurant's history is palpable, but lately the overall experience has slipped a bit. With the new menu, prices have increased significantly (some dishes really skyrocket... a real blow), and I was disappointed to no longer find some of the signature sandwiches, likely removed for cost reasons. The real weakness, however, remains the wait management on Saturday evenings. Over the phone, they reiterate that they don't accept reservations, but once you arrive (even early, around 8:00 PM), you're faced with already full lists for the following time slots (8:30 PM, 9:00 PM, 9:30 PM). This creates confusion and gives the impression of unclear preferential channels. What are these? Reservations without waiting? It's not difficult to manage reservations. Millions of restaurants around the world do it. It's not nuclear physics. It would be appropriate to clarify the access procedures, if only for transparency towards out-of-town customers. A little more organization would make the service worthy of the cuisine.

The food and location are amazing, the only flaw is the very, very slow service. Otherwise, nothing to complain about. The meat and sandwiches are excellent quality and cooked to perfection, the staff are very friendly, and the place is super clean. Highly recommended; maybe go during the week and not on the weekend.

I've been to Sale e Pepe and I have to say it's one of those places you'll want to return to. The place has a warm and informal atmosphere, perfect for an evening with friends without sacrificing quality. The staff is cheerful, fast, and always available to recommend the right dish or beer.

This place is great! I really love the atmosphere and the steaks... Top notch fantastic! We will be back to report on other dishes. The staff was fast and friendly and again the atmosphere is fantastic. It has a rustic charm in the middle Vomero. Love it!

The place is small, the food is good, good quality, and the sandwiches are limited, unlike the more elaborate dishes. Service is friendly and fast. Just a small tip: check your receipt to make sure everything matches; it's Saturday and the crowds can make mistakes.

Historic pub in Vomero. The meat is excellent, and the meatballs in tomato sauce are a real treat. The service could be improved (you have to ask for things several times).

07/01/2026: I've been vegan for almost fifteen years, and I'm happy to support "courageous" restaurants that choose to offer exclusively, or almost exclusively, vegan cuisine. While visiting Naples, I wanted to try this restaurant, especially because it's a rare oasis in a city that's not exactly vegan-friendly. The setting is remarkable, with lots of greenery that makes it unique and welcoming, but unfortunately, I found the food disappointing compared to other places I know and have visited. There's a wide selection of first courses, pizzas, and desserts, as is the case everywhere in the city. However, I only found the pizza without tomato sauce good, while the one with tomato sauce didn't appeal to me because it was too "raw" for my taste. The second courses were even more disappointing. I don't know if the selection is in line with the average taste in the city, but offering only burgers and meatballs made with granulated soy seems terribly reductive and offensive to the variety of suitable second courses available. Perhaps I'll give it another try, trying a first course and another dessert, since this one wasn't satisfactory either, if I ever return to Naples. I trust the chef will do a bit more research in the meantime, especially given the restaurant's high-priced standards, which also include a 15% service charge.

01/11/2025: Very welcoming place, we ate very well and the owner was very kind. It will become our regular place when we return to Ischia.
01/11/2025: I don't know what they do in that kitchen but what comes out of there is magical I had a parmigiana a Genovese of octopus and fried anchovies the staff was kind and not expensive at all
