Excellent food, wonderful service, very friendly and attentive. I ordered baked fish and it was delicious! I highly recommend them, and the prices are great for the quality and quantity. If you're in the area, don't hesitate to stop by.

At 170 miles long and 75 miles wide, Sardinia is the second-largest Mediterranean island after Sicily. It’s considered one of the blue zones: one of five regions in the world with a high concentration of centenarians. As one would expect on such a large island, Sardinian cuisine has been influenced by many cultures, such as the Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Romans, Arabs, and Spanish.
The cornerstone of the Sardinian diet is its emphasis on whole grains, dairy, an abundance of vegetables and fruits, and legumes. While meat and seafood are part of the culinary collection, meat consumption is typically reserved for Sunday family gatherings or special occasions, underscoring a balanced approach to diet. Bread and cheese are ever-present elements of daily meals in Sardinia.
Located on busy Via Elvia Recina in the San Giovanni area, my partner, our friends, family member, and I were very happy to have discovered this local family-owned and operated neighborhood establishment near our hotel serving Sardinian cuisine, which was a first for all of us. Upon arrival at Sa Posada, we were greeted by the staff and got a table for 6 outdoors. Their interior evokes casual and welcoming vibes with handmade decorations created by the owners, Martino and Fabiana, and displayed throughout.
The menu was limited but perfectly executed, with the welcoming English available. As an appetizer, we decided to share the Pane Carasau with baked sauce, also known as "music paper bread." This is due to its thinness and delicate crackle; it is a versatile and ancient Sardinian flatbread rounding out with a charcuterie board and small salad. For our main meal, we opted for Farmer’s Sappueddus, Seafood Tonnarelli, Boneless Steak with Potatoes, and a side of Spinach. Complimentary bread started our meal.
Each dish emphasized the natural flavors of local products, from seasonal vegetables to premium cheeses and meats. It was well prepared, amazing, and tastefully delicious. The price didn’t break anyone’s wallet. The staff was helpful and polite, which made us feel very welcome from the start to the end, and we left the table feeling truly satisfied.
Grazie Mille!

Incredible food. Tasted so fresh and so flavourful. The service was great and the portion sizes were perfect. We got the mixed seafood spaghetti and the potato stuffed pasta. We also got the tiramisu for dessert and was so creamy and yum. Highly recommend this restaurant !!
