Royal Garden In Pavia

We came here in May and both the service and food was outstanding! We had a variety of food but the dumplings were the best by far!

The two of us spent 80 euros. Out of curiosity we took more dishes that we liked the most, the focaccia and the Pekingese soup were very good, prawns fried in breadcrumbs also, then the duck in sweet and sour sauce not bad, but then the pork in Sha sauce We didn't really like the soft meat, but the taste was bland, it didn't taste like anything, the toast with shrimp and sesame was also disappointing, greasy, sticky and the scent of sesame is completely absent, note that all the food is not spiced with the usual Chinese smells such as 5 spices or shisuann pepper, it is very neutral, certainly a necessity for Pavia customers. An idea would be to have on the tables certain extra spices and sauces for those who love spicier Chinese food. Would you return to the question? Hm I would think maybe just the scone. to be honest, perhaps a clear idea would be to try other dishes too.

Delicious dishes, well cooked and with average prices. The Cantonese rice is nothing short of divine! Friendly but a little absent service.. Clean location but I recommend turning on the heating on cold days, because we ate with our jackets on!!!

I'm not from Pavia but I was in the area for personal reasons, I wanted to eat Chinese food and I went to the Royal Garden encouraged by the reviews. It was a very pleasant experience. Not only the good food but above all the hospitality and friendliness of the guys deserve to return! I will come to Pavia again and will definitely return to the Royal Garden.

I finally managed to try the Chinese restaurant, according to the people of Pavia, the most historic in the city. I had quite high expectations but, unfortunately, they were not fully met: overall the food was good but not exceptional as it had been described to me or, in any case, with that extra edge compared to other similar restaurants I have tried. The steamed prawn ravioli were good, you could tell they were homemade, the filling was excellent and plentiful. The prawn toast is less brilliant, a little burnt on the sides and not very tasty. What I didn't like at all was the fried chicken in sweet and sour sauce, unfortunately the chicken was too greasy to the point that, after a few bites, the dish was nauseating. My praises all go to the homemade Chinese ramen sautéed with seafood. That dish was worth the whole dinner, the flavour, the consistency of the pasta and the abundant quantity of fish, truly incredible! Compared to the average of other Chinese places, I found this one very expensive with quality, as described above, fluctuating. I will definitely try it again, perhaps eating right on site, for now, for me, Royal Garden remains a good Chinese restaurant, without infamy and without praise.

I have been frequenting this restaurant for years. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent food of very good quality, and excellent value for money. In short... if I want to eat Chinese I more than willingly go to this restaurant. Highly recommended!!!

Always available and excellent cuisine

Questo ristorante ha decisamente superato le mie aspettative. Dal servizio che è estremamente efficiente alla cordialità e la qualità del cibo offerto. Sono stata per la prima volta a cena con amici e ho ordinato 3 piatti della cucina stagionale: freschi, buoni e dalle porzioni abbondanti. Il BAO era davvero grande, ma morbido e gustoso! Sono certa di tornarci, magari per un pranzo. Mi permetto di consigliare fortemente questo posto a chi vuole provare qualcosa di diverso dai soliti piatti cinesi che vengono proposti nei all you can eat.

Molta varietà di piatti cucinati bene, ambiente tranquillo, personale efficiente e servizio veloce porzioni abbondanti, buon rapporto qualità prezzo
