We've eaten at Etaly dozens of times over the years, and it's always a guarantee of quality. No matter what dish you choose, you can't go wrong. The staff is always attentive, and I find the atmosphere truly familiar and relaxed, with a mix of people shopping and dining. In short, it's our favorite place, and we'll always return.

Even more expensive than when I visited in Rome, but more intimate and more pleasant. Excellent food, including pizza and bread. I haven't visited the wine shop yet due to lack of time, but I'll do so soon... I've visited the wine shop several times now. It's truly remarkable, with a veritable wine cellar where the finest bottles are stocked. They also have bulk wine, which is excellent, but its price has gone up in just two years...

Trattoria-Pizzeria Carpe Diem

07/02/2026: A family evening (12 people) at this pizzeria in Villar Perosa. It's easy to find because it's located at the entrance to the town center, with ample parking and a public playground right next to the parking lot. The restaurant has an outdoor terrace and open spaces for the warmer months, while inside there's a spacious dining room. Access is via steps, double doors (there's a stairlift) leading to the very spacious dining room. Tables are spaced well apart, with soft lighting and good acoustics. The pizzas are well-cooked and made with good crust; perhaps only the Margherita is a bit too cheesy. Excellent selection of desserts! Attentive and friendly table service. Good value for money! The aspects I would improve are: - the table layout, too diverse, constantly shifting; - the heating, completely absent (a pellet stove near the register, but not enough to heat the restaurant and therefore the customers), and furthermore, with the tables right by the doors, we ate in sweaters and jackets. The electric heater near the doors is insufficient; - The restroom area feels like a cold room, so cold it made things difficult for the children; - The pizza chef who cleans up and prepares at the end of the evening is also nice to watch, but if he starts making loud noises with mixers or similar, maybe not... I still recommend this place, certainly also for its potential.
