My roots are in the land of Romagna so we are relatively often in Forli, yesterday was one of those moments and also a fantastic day for a trip by car towards the Muraglione and then down to Borgo San Lorenzo towards Marradi, before Vicchio we saw a sign indicating La bottega del ForteMugello, the patron saint of the hungry (12.45 pm) suggested that I turn around and check the type of place that was advertised, a wise decision waiting for us at one of the many tables outside the place at where we immediately sat down, practically immediately a nice lady joined us who took our order and within ten minutes we were enjoying some delicious and abundant homemade tagliatelle with meat sauce (taken to us by another older lady with his ways and the white uniform immediately made me think of the cuisine of the past, genuine and sincere) followed by a mixed platter of cured meats and cheeses accompanied by good bread that arrives in an unusual paper bag, half of red and water ending with two coffees, total cost 37 euros. What can I say, happy is little but above all grateful for the courtesy and kindness received, we all know that they are never taken for granted, see you next time.

I've always liked this place, in the middle of nature, I found good things there that you can't find elsewhere, at least here in Mugello, it's a shame that they are forced to close😢 After all, there's nothing worse than getting a bad name, people don't look beyond it unfortunately 😢 Goodbye Forteto 😢😢😢

I usually use the fresh one, which contains - at least on a tasting level - a smaller quantity of salt. I wanted to change, buying some seasoned pecorino, part of which I later used to prepare, together with the parmesan, a Genoese pesto. On a base of slices of pecorino I then added potato gnocchi and asparagus with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil from the Setteponti hills. Result OK
