We stopped in Bologna to enjoy the weather because elsewhere it's been raining non-stop. Enjoyed a fabulous meal of paired with Allegrini (Palazzo Della Torre) I hope I quoted it well. Excellent customer service. Great explanation of the special for the day(which we chose and was more than enough for 2). Highly,highly recommend for the food, for the food, service and ambience.

Really nice waiters, really helpful and friendly. Refreshing for Bologna, not every place is friendly to tourists but here they are very nice

Very friendly staff, even with a rude customer next to us who snapped his fingers and shouted at the waitress, this was approached professionally. The dishes were tasty for the price and in terms of atmosphere they create a certain class that is not too haughty. Very good experience!

I highly recommend this restaurant!!!! My friends and I ate very well, nice place and the staff were very welcoming and kind. I will definitely be back ❤️

We had lunch today, 2 adults and 2 children. We spent 107 euros, 4 first courses, drinks and 2 coffees of which we paid 6 euros (not even in Venice did I pay 3 euros for a coffee). Too EXPENSIVE.

We had dinner in this restaurant taking the mixed platter (recommended), some crescentine to taste and two first courses. I would like to focus on one of the first courses we chose, namely pasta with bacon, pecorino and lemon... really bad, so much so that I had to reluctantly leave it. The bacon looked like it was boiled with a bad taste and the pecorino looked like Parmesan (maybe a mix?!). The ravioli were good. The place looks very good, welcoming and elegant. The service was also very attentive, compliments. In my opinion, the importance of including such a first course compared to the others on the menu needs to be reviewed.

The food is good and the staff is super friendly. The downside in my opinion is the prices. A bean soup with croutons cannot cost 13 euros, especially if we are talking about just two ladles. Having noted the lactose intolerance, the artichoke with parmesan cream for 13 euros was served, rightly, without parmesan but at the same cost therefore a fried artichoke 13 euros. It seems exaggerated to me that for two glasses of wine costing 7 euros, a platter of focaccia, a fried artichoke, bean soup, tagliatelle with meat sauce and sautéed broccoli, the bill was 90 euros.

29/01/2024: I visited Unibo Food Restaurant for lunch on a weekday, and I was disappointed by the experience. The restaurant is located inside the University of Bologna campus, which is convenient for students and staff, but it is more expensive than other restaurants nearby. The food portion was also not enough to satisfy my hunger, and I had to order extra bread and salad. The only good thing about the restaurant was the pizza, which was freshly baked and had a nice crust and toppings. And yes! PIZZA is available every day, but the restaurant is closed on Sundays and Saturdays. This means that you have to plan ahead if you want to eat there, and you might not get what you want. I would not recommend Unibo Food Restaurant to anyone who is looking for a good value, tasty, and filling meal. There are better options in the area that offer more variety, quality, and service. But if you got university tickets for restaurants then enjoy it! Ahhhh and the best thing is that it has free water! Cold water and also sparkling water which was amazing!

Caffetteria Le Sorelle

22/01/2024: Questa mattina ho preso un caffè in questa caffetteria del centro storico di Bologna; era la prima volta che ci mettevo piede. Il locale è non molto grande, gestito da due signore, probabilmente due sorelle. La vetrina delle brioche non era particolarmente invitante. Avendo comunque già fatto colazione a casa, qui mi sono limitato a un caffè macchiato con pochissimo latte freddo, solo qualche goccia per togliere il gusto forte del caffè. Poi mi sono accorto che anche qui come altrove, il caffè macchiato costa dieci centesimi in più di quello normale. Vabbè, ho affrontato la spesa con serenità, anche perché il caffè era buono, di marca Terzi, molto in voga e di moda a Bologna.
10/01/2024: A café that is a gourmet experience, thanks to Terzi coffee, it is possible, even for just the classic espresso, to choose your favorite blend, which will also be freshly ground. Then, on the menu, we find a very long series of coffees added with any tasty wonder, from pistachios to hazelnuts. And then cappuccinos and even yogurt. Also on the menu are pizzas, piadinas and focaccias.
