06/01/2025: In recent days the place has 'changed its look' and has become the bright spot of the market square. The Venetian cuisine, curated by chef Stefano Aldreghetti himself, recalls the Venetian tradition of bacaro, so much so that we suggest starting the 'bacaro tour' from Marghera and then if you really want to continue towards Venice... Nothing is missing from Venetian cicchetti and wines and lunches and dinners with attention to detail with elegance and culture, at prices for everyone, Sardines in saor, polenta and schie, prawns, spaghetti risotto with squid ink and lobster or with variations on the theme, pasta and tripe beans, mixed boiled meat, and even the simple boiled egg and so on and so forth, including homemade desserts; from day to day, from time to time, ask the Chef for advice.
So now the Barkala' restaurant is the first bacaro tavern on the mainland by choice with the possibility of a reserved room for special occasions but, from recent direct experience the standard dining room is beautiful and welcoming. Congratulations to Stefano and the staff
