We now feel at home at the "Il Gatto e La Volpe" restaurant, therefore it is an obligatory stop when we are in the area.
Every time, expectations are never disappointed: the owner sits at the table to take the order, advises the customer and talks about his passion for catering and traditional Maremma cuisine. It goes without saying that the service is top notch, with friendly, competent and welcoming staff. The food is the same, always very good.
Obviously recommended to all those visiting the village of Massa Marittima.
(P.S.: I recommend trying the ribollita and acquacotta, both superlative!)

I love everything about this little gem. Food, service, atmosphere. I got the pork loin, that was unfortunately not as nice everything else. Asked for something else and got immediately a really good replacement. After a few minutes the chef came by to say that he tasted it himself, and the pork was not as intended. I like how they handled this. Recommended.

A visit to Massa Marittima is mandatory, because the village is wonderful. If you want to end on a high note, have a dinner at Gatto e la Volpe, a beautiful place, in a novel alley, welcoming, friendly staff and owners who make you feel at home, fantastic food... and I recommend the chicken cooked with a medieval recipe; truly surprising, as good as anything we have tasted. I hope to be able to return soon!

Very welcoming environment, the owner Mr. Giancarlo knows how to make you lose yourself in the history and quality of the products he presents, all typical, some with recipes dating back to the Middle Ages. Superb cuisine accompanied by local wines worthy of the dishes served. Unmissable desserts. A place to return and return again...

Non appena ha riaperto dopo la pausa invernale ci siamo recati per scoprire nuovi piatti e ripasso dei consolidati.

"Caffè" è il soprannome del titolare del Ristorante...siamo stati con un gruppo questa estate, rimanendo tutti soddisfatti. Il menù è invitante e tipico toscano, comunque i piatti vengono anche spiegati dal cortese titolare. Buona scelta di vini, locali e non, e adeguati servizio e prezzo.
