Elcito is certainly a "place", not only that, it is a bulwark among "places" because it has a life of its own, of stratification of stones, of centuries, of human lives, you can feel it very strongly as soon as you arrive here. At the gates of this ancient village, in a stone house, a small door opens which leads into a tiny room, where two willing boys have opened this wonderful and almost surreal "closet", full of good things: high quality cured meats such as raw ham, artisanal cooked ham, coppa, a wonderful rolled bacon and then the salamis among which the one with liver and the inevitable ciauscolo from the Marche stand out; I also tasted a delicious crescia and a truly excellent semi-mature pecorino, as well as drinking an excellent Lacrima di Morro d'Alba. There are also several nice cold beers, which now go down in Garganella in August... The two guys also run a magical refuge, behind their shop, where it is possible to stay overnight. Well done, hold on because your project in this timeless place truly deserves the best things!
