Il Margutta vegetarian food & art In Roma

My wife and I celebrated our 15 year anniversary at this restaurant. The atmosphere, service, and food were exemplary. We had an absolutely sparkling evening and I cannot thank them enough.

I was there on Sunday at 1.30pm. I didn't know, nor was I informed that there was a buffet for lunch. Never mind, I would have liked to celebrate my partner's birthday better. Good food, a little long waits, good service regarding drinks. A little disappointed compared to a previous weekday evening experience. The only flaw was that I was not informed in any way about the buffet service. To be revisited.

Historic venue on Via Margutta; the place is nice and pleasant, vegetarian and even vegan dishes, for lunch there is the menu of the day for 16 euros, good dishes, friendly service, average prices, if you are in the centre, it's worth a stop.

Wonderful vegetarian and vegan restaurant located in the center of Rome in the splendid Via Margutta. Although elegant, it is not intimidating, also thanks to a service that is always friendly and available for various requests. The dishes, beyond the excellent presentation, are always of a high standard . The homemade seitan deceives the most demanding palates when it simulates meat, while the vegetables come from the property's own gardens. A visit is also recommended during the exhibitions and numerous events held at the same venue.

We spent a very pleasant evening and had a divine dinner. Everything of the highest quality: location, food and service. A heartfelt thank you to Ezio and all the staff for this wonderful experience. Absolutely recommended.

The best vegetarian restaurant in Rome, it's been my favorite place for years now! Perfect food, very varied menu, excellent service, all the staff are extremely friendly and a fine and elegant location. Really highly recommended.

Uno dei pochi ristoranti non turistici del centro storico. La domenica il buffet a prezzo fisso (25 euro compreso dolce e acqua) e’ una proposta davvero buona e conveniente anche per chi non è’ vegano. Il servizio è impeccabile e l’ambiente gradevole. Straconsigliato!

Siamo arrivati, dopo regolare prenotazione e dopo aver anche avvisato per un lieve ritardo, e il nostro tavolo non era pronto; ci hanno fatto attendere mentre intanto altre persone entravano e venivano fatte accomodare prima di noi: certo può capitare, ma sicuramente non è una bella presentazione. Ci hanno poi sistemato in un angolo un po' appartato e un po' triste, come del resto è un po' tutto l'ambiente, secondo noi non troppo curato (e stendiamo un velo pietoso sullo stato dei servizi igienici...). C'è qualche proposta alla carta ma quasi tutti (noi compresi) optano per il menu fisso: un buffet abbastanza variato con diversi tipi di insalate, melanzane alla parmigiana, ricotta, qualche primo, riso, polpettine con hummus (molto buono) e una scodella di zuppa di fagioli zolfini con pomodoro, ovviamente tiepida, e poi pane, acqua e un dolce (da scegliere fra tre varianti) per 18 euro. Il prezzo non è alto in effetti, considerando che siamo al centro del centro di Roma; c'è anche una piccola ma discreta carta dei vini per ogni tipo di tasca. Il servizio è cortese ma un po' distaccato. Eravamo già stati in questo ristorante, molti anni fa, e lo ricordavamo diverso, più curato, più elegante, più variato. Ci sembra decisamente peggiorato. Per finire, un odore insopportabile di cibo rimasto attaccato ai vestiti e ai capelli. Insomma.
