Ristorante Zelmira In Modena

In the historic center we find this wonderful restaurant next to a characteristic square. Excellent service, top-notch food and excellent quality reign supreme. The well-furnished location and the attention to the customer make it an excellent setting. I highly recommend it.

Tutto ottimo dalla cucina ma i veri tortellini in brodo, semplici, delicati ma con il giusto sapore, sono la ragione x passare da questo ristorante passando da Modena… e anche altro lo merita……. Dolci in testa

I used to frequent this place way back in the 80s of the last century, then I moved and never had the chance again. Yesterday we chose it for a family lunch. We had a great time. Excellent food, impeccable service despite being full and excellent value for money. A few fewer tables would have made me give 5 stars to the environment, which is still welcoming.

The restaurant overlooks a lovely little square in the center of Modena. What can I say, everything is excellent and generous portions. The desserts satisfy the palate and eyes. Prices slightly above average. The staff proved to be exquisitely kind.

After some time, I returned last night with a couple of friends. I accepted the proposal of the day with pecorino tortelloni and the chef's skewer and, to finish, chocolate salami. Excellent plating, high quality ingredients, perfect cooking. In terms of taste, I found the tortelloni not very tasty and in the salami the main flavor was "sweet", not that of chocolate. As an occasional carnivore the skewers were super, I would have added a few more potatoes and less onion. Regarding the menu, I find it with too many choices that I personally don't like, they make me indecisive. I didn't find any vegan options and the vegetarian ones were quite obvious (with cheese or pumpkin) for the high level I expect from Zelmira. Quite a nice environment, as well as the table with a Christmas-themed centrepiece, but last night it felt like being in a restaurant with numerous tables which made the decibels rise...: in my opinion too many people for the size of the place, also for the quality of the air... (I didn't see there being an exchanger or purifier). The service was also too long... I will try to return when we return to outdoor dining.

Sono anni che frequentiamo questo ristorante e devo dire che non ci delude mai. Servizio ottimo, curato, attento, preciso. Personale educato, puntuale, disponibile. Cucina deliziosa, ricercata, ma anche tradizionale. Ogni volta è sempre un piacere mangiare qui.
