🌟🌟 2 MICHELIN Stars
🍴 Tuscan, Contemporary - Contemporary Italian cuisine from Tuscany.
🎗️ In today's article, we'll take you to one of the world's most renowned restaurants, run by a talented female chef. Nestled in the tranquil village of Montemerano in Tuscany, this restaurant is steeped in medieval charm. Nestled within a simple yet beautiful ancient stone house, this restaurant is a gem waiting to be discovered by foodies.
🎗️ Montemerano is one of the most picturesque villages in Tuscany, located in the Manciano district in the southern Grosseto province, near the renowned Saturnia hot springs. The village is characterized by its perfectly preserved medieval atmosphere, complete with cobblestone streets, ancient houses, and a tranquil atmosphere. Not far from Piazza del Castello lies Caino, a 🌟🌟 2 MICHELIN-starred restaurant that’s a must-see for foodies and travelers alike. The two-hour drive from Rome, winding around the towering mountains, brings this small village to a close. Da Caino’s history dates back to 1971, when founder Angela Fronteddu decided to open a small restaurant specializing in homemade Tuscan-style Italian cuisine, particularly traditional dishes like Pici pasta, Cinghiale (wild boar) and dishes using local Montemerano ingredients. Around the 1980s, the restaurant evolved its menu and revamped its image to be more luxurious and creative. Located in an ancient stone house in the heart of Montemerano village, the restaurant is decorated in a rustic style, exuding a sense of elegance and simplicity, evident in the stone walls, antique wooden furniture, and crisp white tablecloths, creating a warm and romantic atmosphere. The restaurant’s small, divided dining area creates a quiet and private atmosphere. There's also a wine cellar featuring a selection of the finest wines from Tuscany and around the world.
