Premise: I don't like meat very much. I decide to celebrate my birthday here because I see that the presentation mostly talks about mushrooms, truffles and, of course, meat.
I open the menu and discover that there is only one first course of mushrooms, tagliolini (which I take, and they are very good). I ask the waiter for information, always very kind, who tells me that it's no longer the season... Okay, I wasn't expecting fried mushrooms, but if between the presentation and many reviews I read about many dishes with mushrooms, I expect there to be more courses ... Too bad! an entire menu of truffles only, but no more mushrooms. Maybe specifying that the menu is only in full season would have been appreciated.
I then decide to take the appetizer of 6 tastings, good......and of course the tagliolini.
Nice and elegant atmosphere. House wine ok.

I hadn't been to this place for a few years, and as always in these cases you're afraid that something has changed. To my great joy I found that the service and quality are always at a high level. Arriving with the firm intention of "killing myself" with mushrooms 🍄, I fulfilled my wish. In the classic menu, which also includes dishes with truffles - another strong point of the Cavo sisters - there was a free page, containing all the preparations based on porcini mushrooms... I felt like a child when he discovers that Santa Claus has given him brought exactly what he had written in the letter!.. Unfortunately, not being able to order everything, after a long reflection, I opted for the porcini tagliatelle, followed by a plate containing a generous slice of the wonderful mushroom cake (only here, always , they make it so good but above all true ..) combined with sublime fried porcini mushrooms. My battle buddy, on the other hand, dedicated himself, in addition to tagliarini, to a dish exclusively of fried porcini mushrooms, undoubtedly abundant... At the next table, with my heart crying, I saw a wonderful roast beef with porcini mushrooms being brought... .it will definitely be the dish I try next time. As a wine we chose an honest lively Barbera Caffè Musa... but perhaps I should have opted for a La Monella, certainly more full-bodied. For dessert I indulged in a local dessert; Voltage amaretti with passito flute, and an artisanal liquorice lover... All for €96.00 for 2 people. What more can I say, except that the place is elegantly sober and welcoming, and the service is impeccable. Even if Voltaggio, especially for those coming from Genoa in the evening, is not exactly easy to reach (during the day, especially if the weather is good then it is a nice trip), for the quality, the care and let's face it (we are Genoese) for the price, I highly recommend this place, which remains in the main (and only) area of the town

Fabulous! There were six of us and we tried different dishes (taglierini with mushrooms, fried mushrooms, mushrooms and potatoes, tartare with porcini mushrooms, etc.), all exceptional. The homemade bread is delicious, fast service and very friendly staff. One of the best restaurants I've ever tried, especially in recent times where the quality is generally low and the prices high. We will definitely be back for all six of us.

First of all, I have to say that the mushroom tagliatelle was SPECTACULAR. Fresh homemade pasta that morning, very tasty sauce with mushrooms. Divine.
We arrived in a large group of almost eighty people for an event of the association I belong to. The four waiters who served us appetizers, two first courses, a second course with side dish, dessert, coffee and grappa (without forgetting the wine and water) were formidable in their service, smiling, attentive and very good at managing the entire crew .
The chefs (including the owner) brought out very good and well-executed dishes from the kitchen, including fried panissa, tagliolini, Fassona roast beef, little cheese bags, but my favorites besides the pasta were the rice cake and mushrooms and the typical amaretti biscuits of Voltaggio
The place is nice, clean, welcoming.
We left extremely happy and satisfied (in fact the wine was refilled as desired - a Gavi (white) and a dolcetto (red)).
Absolutely highly recommended!

Perfetto, come sempre! Siamo turisti belgi, e quando siamo nella regione non esitiamo a percorrere chilometri per arrivare a Visconti. Sabato 10 agosto abbiamo avuto un tavolo da 12 persone. Come sempre abbiamo potuto usufruire di un servizio molto cordiale e abbiamo mangiato benissimo. Ecco un ristorante in cui servire gli ospiti alla perfezione è la preoccupazione principale.
