Varenna is worth every trip. If you're vacationing on Lake Como and want to stay in a small, romantic town, this is the right place for you. You can take the boat to several other places and are therefore flexible.

Dinner by the water is something beautiful. It's a pity that there are not at least 2 menu options to choose from, and there is one permanent menu during the day. Tasty and nice.

E' un piccolo ristorante con una interessante terrazza affacciata sul lago, dove si riesce a pranzare tranquilli. Menu' fisso di 3 portate, il primo (pasta alla carbonara) da migliorare (troppo uovo, molto "turistico"). Prezzi un po' alti, soprattutto per il vino, ma nel complesso nella media. Servizio premuroso e gentile.

Super tasty, choice from 1 menu of starter, main course and dessert, simple and effective. Fish pate balls with crispy filo pastry, pasta carbonara and tiramisu. Everything nicely prepared and cheerfully served on the table. Recommended. Beautiful view of the water.

Vecchia Varenna was an absolute positive surprise and a promising start of dining at Como lake. The deal is simple: amazing lake view, tasteful environment, professional attentive service and high-end menu, all for €30/person.
The starter’s green pea emulsion was jaw-dropping. Decent carbonara and not-your-average tiramisu, all the right portion. Classic one-sip espresso. Hint for vegetarians: just ask your main without the pork. Highly recommended.

Without reservation but not really a problem even at 6 at noon sharp in the middle of August! Very busy passage in Varenna but the terrace is well separated and therefore pleasant. Unique menu, very good starter and main courses! Downside for dessert, cornflakes tiramisu which really hits the wrong note, too bad. Pasta dishes suitable for children also very good.

The lake view restaurant has a very nice environment and the taste is very good. It provides 3 dishes for lunch and the drinks and coffee a la carte are very good! Suitable for bringing children
