Very fast service. Booked for 9pm with the warning that there would be a bit of a wait, at 9.10pm we were already seated. Everything very good, waitress very kind and helpful

Vecchia Otranto is a wonderful little restaurant tucked away in the quiet backstreets of Otranto – a true hidden gem that delivers on both charm and flavour. We began with a beautifully cooked starter that was fresh, flavorful, and elevated by the addition of fresh oregano, which added a lovely, aromatic brightness to the dish. It set the tone perfectly for what was to come. For mains, we had the sagne 'ncannulate with shrimp – a standout dish with homemade pasta and deep, authentic local flavors. We also tried the tagliolini with tuna, another pasta made in-house that was rich, light, and full of character. These were perfectly complemented by a local rosé made from the Negroamaro grape – crisp, dry, and just right with seafood and pasta. We ended with a classic tiramisu – creamy, balanced, and the perfect finale to a fantastic meal. The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly, making the entire evening feel relaxed and welcoming. This is a place that takes pride in local ingredients, traditional recipes, and heartfelt hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Otranto who wants an authentic, delicious dining experience.

We stopped here for lunch and I can safely say that we had a great time. Both the food and the service were excellent.

Everything was delicious, excellent quality. It was a wonderful dinner, with crudites, homemade pasta with shrimp, excellent wine, cheesecake, and very friendly service!

Our best experience in Otranto, after 3 full days . Amazing local taste for Italian food lovers like me and my wife. It’s very central but a bit hidden and hard to choose between many options nearby.

We ate a fantastic pasta with shrimp that my boyfriend still dreams about and a great pasta with turnip tops. The staff is kind and helpful.

Very nice indoor venue, typical outdoor area of ​​the place. My friends and I booked and even though we arrived 15 minutes early they made us sit. Very kind staff and ready to advise. Excellent food and fair price. If I return to Otranto I will go back.

Ci siamo fermate già la sera prima, ma era troppo pieno.. quindi ci abbiamo riprovato la sera dopo. È stata una cena tranquilla e caratteristica di pesce nel centro storico di Otranto, consigliatissimo. Ci ritorneremo!

Pasé alrededor de la 1 pm un viernes por la tarde sin reserva y afortunadamente movieron un par de mesas juntas para nuestra fiesta de seis, y estábamos sentados a la llegada. Desde nuestra mesa, teníamos una vista del mar azul al final de la calle. En general, estábamos bastante satisfechos con el servicio y la calidad de la comida a un precio razonable servida en Vecchia Otranto. Crudo di mare (variedad de mariscos) era muy fresco y sabroso con una variedad de mariscos para probar. Polpo Croccante su crema di patate (pulpo crujiente sobre crema de patata) también era delicioso y muy sabroso. El Pesce Spada (Pez Espada a la parrilla) se sirvió caliente y se condimentó muy bien. Tagliolino al Tonno (pasra con atún) estaba bien preparado y muy bueno. Insalata Mista era muy fresco y sabroso. Saltear (mejillones) en un delicioso caldo de tomate con tostadas era muy fresco y sabroso - una prueba obligada si te gustan los mejillones.
