Restaurant review: Nice location, good selection and reasonable prices. The quality of the food could be improved. (Make the pizza dough fluffier, improve the recipe for the fried onion rings.) :)

We only ate a pizza which was very good, soft and well cooked. Fresh ingredients. Very large room, 80s hotel style.

We only stopped for dinner and unfortunately the quality/price ratio was not satisfactory. The service good.

Wonderful experience. Fantastic hotel, spotless rooms, fantastic staff, very welcoming and always available. 4 star breakfast. Excellent morning/afternoon shuttle service that takes you to the beaches of Grotticelle and Tono. From the hotel you can easily reach the Belvedere terrace on foot from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view. If we can we will return. I highly recommend.

The facility is very clean, comfortable and the staff are courteous. The pizza is really good: rating 10 and praise!

Super recommended....The family that runs the hotel is very kind, discreet. 2 star hotel but it deserves 5, in the rooms you will also find shaving kit, toothbrushes, slippers, equipped with everything. The food is all excellent, from fish to meat, ending with excellent pizzas for lunch and evening. The shuttle that takes you to the sea, without the thought of taking the car, I find it a unique convenience, Pasquale, the Charon of the situation acts as a ferryman, very helpful. I will definitely go back. Thanks for everything.

We visited La Campagnola for an evening meal, so this review focuses solely on the restaurant and not the associated hotel. La Campagnola is well situated and has limited free customer parking at the rear of the restaurant. The actual dining experience was not that great; Depending on who is serving you, the welcome can be anything between friendly and unfriendly. Service can be quite slow and, unless you ask for it, bread won’t be automatically brought to your table…..a somewhat unusual thing for a restaurant in Italy. The food is ok, but the portions are very small for the price you are paying. Also, there is a tendency for some of the second course fish dishes to be served whilst the dish is still sizzling and spitting hot oil, which is dangerous and can also stain one’s clothing. I find that very odd. We bought a half litre of local wine which was intended to accompany our meal, but the wine arrived quite a while before the food which meant that you were drinking tepid wine rather than refreshing wine during your meal. The staggered delivery of dishes meant that my main course arrived a good five minutes before my wife’s main dish. That might not sound like a long time, but I think it is and it does not set the scene for a nice relaxed dining experience. La Campagnola has the potential to be a great restaurant, but in order to achieve that they need to work at getting the basics of good customer service right first.
