I had lunch with my family about a month ago. I'm not really a fan of sciatt but I like to try them again every now and then and these were really good: light and full of flavor, just like the tagliatelle with ragù and pizzoccheri. Thanks to the nice "red-haired" waitress who pampered us from start to finish. We'll definitely be back!

When I search for a restaurant on Google I go by feel and I'm never wrong. After having eaten the pizzoccheri here, I can say that those who had eaten before do not deserve to be called that, from the counter you can glimpse the VERY CLEAN kitchen and trust me this is not the case for most places, for work I travel around many restaurant kitchens. The place is like the ones I like with the air of old-time trattorias.

So when you want to eat typical dishes from the area you have to go to a place that deserves it with excellent food and the right atmosphere and Da Nello is THE right place. And 10 stars to the owner who, with her prickly character on the outside but soft on the inside, made us spend a wonderful, fun and carefree evening. We look forward to your book :)

Usual Valtellina place, excellent food, ate sciat pizzoccheri and roast beff, fabulous, the best I've ever eaten so far. Closing with an excellent braulio sorbet. Very friendly, polite and helpful staff. Average price for the place. I'll go back again as soon as I can

Non è la prima volta che veniamo a cena in questa storica trattoria, insolitamente collocata al primo piano di un fabbricato interno ad una corte. Il secondo piano si può immaginare che ospiti le camere dell'albergo, tema non attinente a questa recensione, che intende focalizzarsi solo sulla parte culinaria. C'è veramente poco da dire: in un grande e chiassoso salone con arredi e finiture dei vecchi tempi (sedie e tavoli in legno, boiserie alle pareti, camino, sci, attrezzi e teste di cacciagione imbalsamate sulle pareti) si possono assaporare tutte le più tipiche pietanze della cucina valtellinese in una delle versioni più gustose che esistano al mondo. Dagli affettati ai pizzoccheri, passando per gli imperdibili sciatt, accompagnati da uno dei tipici vini locali, è impossibile sbagliarsi: se ne esce sempre molto soddisfatti e spendendo il giusto. Andare a far visita ai parenti è anche un ottimo pretesto per farsi una passeggiata nell'ammirevole e prestigioso centro storico di Ponte e tornare a mangiare qui.

Mangiato dei pizzoccheri divini, abbiamo pure soggiornato due notti, in questo posto tranquillo,dove ho ritrovato quelle sensazioni di accoglienza che si respirava da ragazzino nei mitici anni 80.

CROTTO AL PRATO

13/03/2025: We went there for the first time last Thursday for lunch and had a great time! After we sat down, they offered us a taste of their bresaola, which was truly delicious. We ordered the schisciat as a starter, which are a little different from the sciat but just as good. They have a square shape and are filled not only with cheese but also with bresaola. As first courses we had chestnut tagliatelle with taleggio cream and speck and manfrigole, which are crepes rolled up with stringy cheese and bresaola. One was better than the other, really, we did a great job getting them. The manfrigole in particular were delicious and if we were to return I would definitely get them again. As for the tagliatelle, perhaps the speck could be improved by choosing another type of cut because it was too thin and too dry and hard. Still feeling a little hungry, I also ordered the mixed grilled meat (there were pork ribs, beef/pork fillets I think, a lamb chop and a small sausage) with polenta, grilled vegetables (courgettes and peppers) and potatoes. The meat was perfect, soft, flavorful and cooked to perfection. I left the polenta with my boyfriend who is crazy about it and I think he liked it. The vegetables were done well and the potatoes were perfect both in cutting and cooking. Finally, to satisfy our sweet tooth, we ordered the buckwheat cake with blueberry jam. The cake itself wasn't bad, despite it being a type of dessert that isn't one of my favourites. The main problem was the temperature: too cold since it had probably just been taken out of the fridge. I don't know if this could be improved in some way, perhaps by heating it a little before serving it. We also took water and a glass of wine and spent around €57 if I'm not mistaken. The place inside is nice although not very large, but we were lucky enough to end up at a table of 4, so you can't say we were cramped. The service was also more than correct as well as quick. I absolutely recommend this crotto to anyone who wants to come to the area and be on the safe side. The food is really good!!!

05/01/2025: Very beautiful and characteristic location. You can eat well while spending little. The pizzoccheri (€10) and the saddle of roe deer are good. The only negative note was the cooking of the tagliatelle with venison ragout, which was decidedly overcooked. The service is very friendly and fast (maybe too fast). Overall it is a place that I would recommend, especially for the suggestiveness of the location and for the good food at a competitive price, with praise for the courtesy of the service.
