Ristorante Toto In Firenze

After 35 years we are back. As always, Fiorentina is magnificent! Highly recommended

This was a very good experience for me in florence! I was very meeh for the food in general, but when I tasted their ragú I realized that the food in florence is really something! Although, I would not recommend their pizzas... the pasta and meat dished are what is good! I also tried their tiramisú and some other dessert and the tiramisú was to die for! Really recommend this non-touristic place.

We enjoyed our dinner at Toto so much that we returned a few nights later to try other items on the menu. The staff are super friendly and the food is fantastic. Over two visits, among other things, we tried the pizza, the famous Florentine steak (hint, it’s great for sharing), and the classic beans side dish. The potato side dish was also delicious. We also tried the traditional ice cream cake with an accompanying moscato on their recommendation, which was very nice. The woodfire ovens (one for meat, one for pizza) were very impressive and we enjoyed watching the preparation from our table. I will definitely return next time I’m in Florence.

Everything tasted wonderful. Could have been more generous with the wine portion. Bread was a bit tough. Taste of steak was exquisite. I wish I would have asked for a thicker cut. It had a lot of fat and bone. But don’t get me wrong. I loved this place and would definitely come back again and again.

This trattoria is a little hidden and away from the tourist streets. But it's worth going there because the welcome is warm and the dishes are delicious. The wine is delicious too. The prices are very reasonable.
