Ristorante Terrazza Sommariva In Venezia

Endroit idéalement située, vers le pont Rialto. Plats très bons mais service moyen. Serveur peu souriant et aucun effort pour nous servir.

We expected to pay a premium due to the location - right by the Rialto Bridge on the Grand Canal. However, a nice meal was spoilt by a rude, arrogant waiter. Aperol Spritz was totally flat. When asked about it the glasses were taken away and brought back exactly the same with a curt “better”? Well no they weren’t any different- exactly the same drink in the same glasses!! The main meal was nice. We asked for the dessert menu and were presented with a plate of desserts to choose from. The desserts were €11 each. When asking if there was any ice cream for the children we were told to wait while he worked out what the 3 desserts ordered were. I think €10 for each small bowl of ice cream for the children was a bit steep. We were then presented with the bill before we even asked for it. When challenged on the fact that we hadn’t asked for the bill the response was card or cash. There was also a 12% charge added to the bill. Such a shame that the service let the place down as the location (right by the Rialto Bridge) was very good and the food was tasty but we left feeling very dissatisfied. There are many other restaurants with a beautiful location so I would recommend going to one of those.

I ate there with my 3 sons. The location is optimal with a view of the Rislto Bridge. The tables outside are very narrow, but once you sit down everything is fine. The food was very tasty. The prices for pasta and pizza were ok. At the end there is an additional €2 per person for space reasons and a 12% tip.

The food was good and so was the service. However, the cutlery wasn't the right one for the meal. I ordered a pizza and got a blunt knife. In addition, the items served are charged at €2 per piece and 20% of the meal is already taken into account.

A nice view to Rialto Bridge. When we are here, the staff was ok and we didn't wait too much for the food. For us, the food was so so (neither very good, neither very bad).

Very nice restaurant, food was good and the staff are friendly and helpful. This restaurant is much better than the Rialto restaurant on the opposite side of the river.

Delicious food, friendly staff, beatiful view!

The italian food wasn’t that delicious. You could easily get the same pizza as they had made from any pizza random restaurant. The prices aren’t worth it. The biggest plus is the view, which itself deserves 5 stars. Their serving time was good. The Focaccia arrived uncooked and after all the food was served.
