Ristorante Tenuta Codirosso agriturismo In Castelnuovo di val di cecina

We stayed at this fairly remote agriturismo run by a couple in September. There is relatively little to see in the area and you should shop early and enough. On a very bumpy, sometimes dangerous road (torture for our low-lying car) you come to a protected forest area with the small holiday homes and the restaurant, which you basically had to use if you didn't want to drive away forever. The apartment and location were atmospheric, playful and we really liked it. Unfortunately, our room wasn't cleaned once in 6 days and we didn't receive new towels either. Unfortunately, the food in the restaurant was a bit overpriced and the portions were a bit small. Free-roaming animals (dogs, cows and sometimes wild boars in the evenings, which are fed by the owners) were constantly running around in the yard, so you have to be aware of that. Unfortunately the natural pool was quite algae.

Definitely a suitable place for a summer holiday. Kind and helpful people but with little experience in catering.

Appena tornati da un bel viaggio all'estero, cercavamo last minute un posto dove poter concludere in bellezza il 2023 ed iniziare bene il 2024. Abbiamo avuto la fortuna di trovare l'ultima camera disponibile e due posti per il cenone a Tenuta Codirosso. Importante da sapere: la strada è sterrata per un breve tratto e leggermente dissestata e la tenuta non è adatta a chi non ama gli animali. Per gli altri, ... invece... vi attende una piccola meraviglia. Ci hanno accolto con un sorriso e cortesia. Abbiamo soggiornato nella camera Mongolfiere, che non viene pubblicizzata perché un po' più piccola delle altre. In realtà è una delizia. Arredata con gusto, con letti comodi e con vista dalle finestre sul bosco circostante. Molto intima è stata per noi un ottimo rifugio per il capodanno. Il cenone, perfetto, con un servizio attento, nell'elegante sala ristorante a lume di candela in una bella e calda atmosfera e con grande cura dei dettagli. La mattina successiva prima colazione e rilassante passeggiata per vedere gli animali del centro recupero. A questo punto siamo rimasti anche per il pranzo, a base di tagliatelle fatte in casa, tagliata di angus con i funghi porcini, ed un bicchiere di vino rosso. Ottimi. Quindi a malincuore abbiamo salutato questo angolo di Toscana spettacolare, "nel nulla" ed in piena tranquillità. Quì si nota il grande impegno di Emanuela e Beppe per rendere il vostro soggiorno una bella ed indimenticabile esperienza. Grazie di ♥️, ci siete riusciti!

Oh boy, what a hidden gem! We were at the Tenuta for a week in September and our expectations were if not met, excelled by any rate. Accommodation in the apartment was excellent and we could have decided to cook on our own, if it hadn't been for the delicious dinner we ended up having almost every night at the on-site restaurant. We loved being immersed in the wild (wild boars) and not so wildlife (plenty of dogs and cats, to name only the most conventional ones) that surrounds you throughout the whole day on the entire compound. Be aware however that this animal centrism should also be a fit to you, as they are literally omnipresent at any time. Getting there also requires at least some extent of an adventurous mindset as the last few kilometers follow some very gravelly roads that are nonetheless worth the journey!

Ein besonderer Ort, weil er abgeschieden ist. Über eine ziemliche rumpelige Schotterstraße geht es für ca. 7 Minuten von der befestigten Straße bis zur Tenuta. Aber einmal angekommen, tun Emanuela und Beppe und ihr Team alles, damit man sich wohl fühlt. Da es nur wenig Zimmer gibt, herrscht eine familäre Atmosphäre. Wir sind auch mit anderen Gästen schnell ins Gespräch gekommen. Genauso wird man aber alleine gelassen, wenn man das lieber will. Das Essen ist sensationell gut. Wir waren von der Toskana schon bisher verwöhnt, aber die Qualität der regionalen Zutaten und die kurzen Wege sind bemerkbar. Wir haben dann nach gar keinen anderen Plätzen zum Essen mehr gesucht, denn es war nirgendwo anders so gut und gemütlich. Bevor man sich entschließt, ein paar Tage in Codirosso zu verbringen, muss man sich bewusst sein, dass die Betreiber sehr tierlieb sind und eine Tier Auffangstation betreiben. Als wir dort waren, haben wir Adler, Esel, Wildschweine, Bisamratte, Gänse, uvm gesehen. Super, wenn man Kinder hat, die Tiere mögen. Wer ein Problem mit Tieren hat, ist dort auf jeden Fall falsch aufgehoben. Auch gehören zu der Tenuta sicher 7-8 Hunde als Haushunde, die frei herumlaufen. Die sind alle sehr freundlich und es macht Spaß, sich mit ihnen zu beschäftigen. Hat man keine Lust, dann ist es auch kein Problem, weil sie einen in Ruhe lassen. Ungewöhnlich ist der Pool: wer sich einen typischen blauen Pool erwartet, wird enttäuscht. Der Pool ist ein Naturpool, weswegen das Wasser grünlich ist. Es ist sauber und wir hatten keine Probleme, wir hatten in unseren Köpfen einfach eine andere Erwartung. Nachdem wir aber gesehen haben, mit welcher Liebe zur Natur und Natürlichkeit die Tenuta geführt wird, hätte ein typisch blauer Pool auch gar nicht mehr gepasst. Die Lage ist wie gesagt abgeschieden, was sich auch in der Nacht bemerkbar macht. Es ist wirklich sehr leise, kein Zivilisationslärm zu hören. Nicht einmal Flugzeuge. Deswegen kommen auch hie und da Wildtiere in der Nacht zu Besuch (vor allem Wildschweine). Etwas, das natürlich die Haushunde bemerken und mit Bellen darauf aufmerksam machen. Kommt nicht oft vor, aber es kann passieren. Wir waren 10 Tage dort und es gab selten einen Ort, von dem uns der Abschied so schwer gefallen ist. Weniger anzeigen

Posto meraviglioso e cibo ottimo

Raffinato posto tra la natura, servizio eccellente, ambiente tranquillo x una vacanza in relax o una cena intima.Da provare x chi ancora non lo avesse fatto e da tornare x chi c'è gia stato.

Un ambiente magico lontano dal caos quotidiano. Abbiamo provato il ristorante per il pranzo di ferragosto e devo dire che siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti. Estremamente gradita la preparazione professionale per i piatti gluten free. Piscina a disposizione degli ospiti del ristorante. Grazie. Torneremo
