We were here on Ferragosto (August 15th) and, fortunately—unprepared—we hadn't booked a restaurant! The staff was very welcoming and kind, even when I mentioned I was vegetarian (they specialize in meat dishes). My companion, an Argentine carnivore, was happy with his fillet steak and extremely pleased with the homemade tiramisu. I ordered all the side dishes plus one off-menu item, and no problem, everything was fresh and made to order. A very pleasant surprise. Worth repeating.

05/07/2026: Purchase a receipt first, then go inside to choose your flavor. I chose a 4-scoop set for 6.5 euros: blueberry, blackberry, lemon, and pistachio. Delicious! This is Rome's most famous and historic gelato shop, founded in 1900 (originally a dairy shop in 1890). Located near the Pantheon, this shop was a favorite of Pope John Paul II for its rich gelato and unique flavor, and is also a pilgrimage site for many political and business figures, as well as fans of Audrey Hepburn from "Roman Holiday."
