Ristorante Strega In Roma

I had dinner at this restaurant. Unfortunately, we arrived at a very busy time and it took a long time for them to come and take our order, but the food was prompt. I ate pasta rigattone carbonara which was extraordinarily good, a very delicious tiramisu, perfectly balanced (neither too sweet nor too alcoholic), and the Peroni beer and Aperol Spritz rose to the heights. The prices paid were: - pasta 13 euros - tiramisu 7 euros - beer 0.33ml 5 euros - water 2 euros - spritz 7 euros I would go back if I was in the area, but there are so many restaurants to try with fresh pasta.

The pizza a little too thin for my taste, but the service and atmosphere are worth a visit.

Had a meal with 8 people on a busy Saturday night. Very nice atmosphere which is probably what attracted us to sit down for dinner. The food was however in general very disappointing. Among other things, Ordered 2 ‘specials’ - seafood risotto and octopus. As u can probably see in the photo, risotto was more like rice coated in light soup and those 2 prawn heads were just that, served with no tail. I understand the prawn heads provide all the flavor but have never been served a meal like that. The octopus looks decent but it was definitely pounded flat to make it tender vs cooking it well- this made for a mushy texture rather than a solid tender bite. I think the only decent thing on their menu is pizza. Thin crust with some delicious sausages with mushrooms.

A place where we had a great time... excellent table service (quick), all nice guys including the owner!

Overpriced, we have given them 2 chances, the food is quite ok but nothing more. If you're looking for really good food, go elsewhere 😊

We ended up at Ristorante Strega after our plans for another restaurant fell through. The atmosphere was great, lovely music, they had powerful fans for the Rome heat. We ordered the salmon, spaghetti and Caprese salad and tiramisu. We had the house white wine. Everything was amazing!

I often have lunch or dinner here when in Rome. The restaurant offers a variety of dishes. Some of them are typically Roman, such as saltimbocca (ham topped veal) . When possible, I like to dine on the patio. The service is good and the staff welcoming.
