What a little gem , family run super friendly professional, my wife found this place and as we were driving up the mountain road I though well there won't be many people but to my surprise the place was full of life. Amazing food and good selection of wines.

Anche se il locale è piuttosto datato nell'arredamento, il cibo è ottimo. Il menù non è inutilmente lungo ma presenta comunque una decina di antipasti, di primi e di secondi, in grado di soddisfare qualsiasi palato. Interessante la grande attenzione alle persone con allergie e intolleranze, tanto che l'elenco dei piatti disponibili è lungo tanto quanto le indicazioni sui contenuti di allergeni. Il personale sembra piuttosto freddo ma poi riesce comunque a farsi apprezzare dal cliente.
Prezzo medio/alto, comunque adeguato alla qualità dei piatti. Da provare e riprovare.

Freunde hatten eine Tisch reserviert und wir sind der Einladung gefolgt. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet! Besonders das professionelle Management bei der Bedienung erfreute uns. Das Essen wurde für alle gleichzeitig serviert. Das findet man nicht mehr überall!

Delicious food, with a variety of pasta and a focus on meat. There are also a few fish dishes. There is a good selection of starters/antipasti. Nice pasta dishes, especially the risotto.
It is recommended for summer when outside seating is available, but do not expect grand views. It is located in the small village of Runo.
Good service. A mixture of Italian, Swiss, and German people.

We got lost in the car and wanted to turn around in the parking lot of Ristorante Smeraldo. We quickly decided to park and get a spot on the terrace. The tables were very cleanly set. In short, the food, wine and service were above average. Thank you for the lovely evening.

Lunch with friends who already knew this restaurant. Ate very very well. The cappellacci with duck filling are amazing. The Salmon Wellington is also notable.
