We ate at Smeraldo again last night; we particularly recommend the risotto and filet di manzo. The quality of the food, the portion sizes, the service, and the wine selection are all excellent. In our experience, Smeraldo is one of the best restaurants in the Luino area.

02/01/2026: We always go to watch football matches, great food, very friendly staff.
21/10/2025: Nice place, cozy inside and spacious outside, good pizzas and hamburgers and excellent chips (French fries). Unfortunately nowadays Italian pop music can be very annoying, and that's what is used as background, thus one star less than top. Recommended anyways.

18/02/2026: The atmosphere of a quality trattoria offers a good selection of traditional local dishes. The saffron risotto with ossobuco is excellent, as is the pappardelle with wild boar. Courteous, friendly, and attentive service. The atmosphere is clean, pleasant, and welcoming, though lacking a bit of personality. Prices are average; a first course, second course, and side dish cost around €50.
16/02/2026: A welcoming atmosphere, excellent food featuring traditional recipes and some unique offerings worth trying. The service and value are also excellent.
