I've seen some misleading reviews about the pork and the price. Let me say that I need to be sensible before writing this. For my part, I've always enjoyed sa mesa for over 20 years. The atmosphere is friendly and the products are excellent. The price is reasonable for what you order. Will you wake up happy?

Mediocre. Very kind and polite waiters, otherwise nothing special. Probably as a southerner I am used to a cuisine a few notches superior.

Excellent, Sardinian restaurant with seafood and meat dishes, very fresh fish, from raw to cooked, the owners very friendly and ready to satisfy your needs, Highly recommended

If splendid Sardinia is an hour away by plane, or a day by ship, fortunately, there is a place where you can at least taste its flavours, in Milan! The Sa Mesa restaurant is worth even just a simpler trip from Como to Milan, to be sure of finally eating traditional Sardinian dishes well, and spending the right amount. Excellent appetizers, first courses and fresh fish dishes and crudités, with the inevitable final seadas and a sip of Mirto.. All this, welcomed by the courtesy, friendliness and affability of the owners and their staff. It's difficult to find the sand and turquoise sea at the exit, but for this reason, Linate isn't that far away. :)

You're never wrong. Quality and quantity. It also affects foreigners brought by Milanese. Non-touristy place and this is its advantage

Me encantó cada segundo de mi visita aquí. Estaba aquí solo en un viaje de negocios y no hablo italiano. Lo elegí porque estaba cerca de mi hotel, estaba ocupado y olía fantástico. No me importó esperar un poco por una mesa, es claramente un lugar popular, y por una buena razón. Una huésped que estaba en el camino dijo que era local y que este restaurante era una joya local. Pedí recomendaciones desde el principio y me encantó todo lo que me aportaron. Uno de los camareros hablaba inglés y recomendaba bien los platos. He comido un montón de comida italiana antes, pero este es un restaurante sardo, así que un montón de platos eran desconocidos. ¡Ahora quiero ir a Cerdeña de vacaciones para comer mi camino alrededor de la isla!

13/07/2025: It's one of Milan's classic seafood restaurants! It's been for years! Honestly, the tables are too close together... And despite the partitions, it always feels like you're eating with the people sitting at the next table.... The shellfish is good, the raw fish is good... Perhaps the menu could be improved a little.

Baja Sardinia

23/06/2025: Baja Sardinja, near my studio, is a small Sardinian fish restaurant where every dish is really, really good: the quality is always very high and the authentic flavors really remind you of Sardinia. One of its strong points is the wine list: it is in fact one of the few places in Milan where I found my favorite Vermentino, Funtanaliras, which I always drink when I am in Sardinia. The place is quite small and often very crowded, so I recommend booking. The prices are quite high, but in line with Milanese standards for the quality of the fish. An address to note for those looking for an authentic and high-level experience in the world of Sardinian fish.
22/06/2025: I would like to start by saying that you eat really well at honest prices. The portions are generous, the flavors are well-balanced and the products are excellent. Nothing to say about the food except compliments! Unfortunately, I cannot give full marks to the location either: the place is small and the tables are very close to each other. This means that when the waiters pass by the tables they inevitably bump into you, especially in certain places. The acoustics really need to be reviewed: when there are a lot of people, you can't talk to the person in front of you. The service is "rough" but also very efficient and very fast. I would review these little things to improve it even more, the starting point is very good.
