05/07/2026: Experienced on Saturday, July 4, 2026. This is a pub-pizzeria located in Grancona, in a very dominant and panoramic position near the church. It's a very cool and breezy spot on hot summer evenings, truly pleasant when the air down in the valley is unbreathable. The pub has tables located on a panoramic terrace overlooking the Liona Valley—certainly the best, but also the first to be filled—a few seats in front of the entrance, not particularly great; some tables inside, certainly the least attractive in summer; and finally, some seats in a courtyard behind the restaurant, not as nice as the ones overlooking the valley, but still cool and well-spaced. We were assigned a table here and had a great time. The service was very friendly and efficient; it's not the usual undersized restaurant that struggles on Saturday nights. We ordered, and even though it was 8:30 PM and the restaurant was full, everything arrived within a quarter of an hour. In addition to various appetizers, such as stuffed olives, you can choose from a wide selection of pizzas, bruschetta, burgers, and other meats. The beer selection is extensive—not extensive, but quality, and the wines are reasonably priced. The porchetta bruschetta is excellent and plentiful. The two gluten-free pizzas are truly delicious: large, rich, well-cooked, and made with a good crust. The Spiazzo with anchovies, capers, and olives, and the Margherita with sausage, were both large and well-cooked, with a good crust. The €1.50 surcharge for the gluten-free option is fair. The house Verdicchio wine is good, and also reasonably priced. Finally, the two Coppe Delizia, fiordilatte with strawberries, are very good. The final price of €56.80 for three people seemed more than fair for the quality and service offered. In my opinion, it's an excellent place, particularly suitable for summer, and I recommend it to everyone. The only drawbacks are the parking, which isn't particularly convenient, and the road to get there, which is quite narrow on both sides, uphill, and has dangerous curves. Reservations are essential, as the place is often packed, even on weekdays. It's also a good idea to bring mosquito repellent, as mosquitoes are quite numerous, so preventative treatment is recommended.
