I highly recommend this restaurant! The food is delicious, the staff is very friendly, and they always manage to find you a table, even when the place is almost full.

We went in early March and sat outside for lunch. There was not much seating outside and no heaters but it was undercover (which was good for the weekend we were there). There is a large menu, but you can only get the pizzas in the evening. The pasta was delicious, we had the ragu and oxtail. The pricing was reasonable and it was really close to the Vatican. The only things that were slightly disappointing was the service was quite slow when we had asked for the bill it didn’t come for about 15 minutes and the bread provided was a bit stale. Overall would recommend and have heard great things about the pizzas.

One of the very few restaurants in Borgo Pio that aren't touristy (not a tourist trap) and where you can go and eat well! The traditional Roman first courses are good; the thin Roman pizza is absolutely not bad (although I prefer Neapolitan). The chicken cacciatore and the lamb are good. The desserts are very good; the apple and cream cake was excellent. All the staff are very kind. The price is fair.

We really enjoyed it. We went twice, both times without a reservation, and were able to get a table (there were two of us). We ordered lasagna and went back the next day. We also ordered pasta amatriciana, which was very good, and pumpkin and anchovy pizza. The latter was good, but we prefer Neapolitan-style pizzas. Special mention to Ciccio, who made our dinner very entertaining and was spot on with the "surprise" desserts.

25/02/2026: Was one of the best meals we had in Rome. Lovely service. The artichoke and the Cacio e Pepe are a must.
02/01/2026: The ingredients and doneness of the Filetto di manzo were excellent. The service was also calm and perfect. When we made our reservation at 7pm, it seemed like the staff were still eating. It seems best to make a reservation after 8pm. After 8pm, the restaurant was bustling with large local families.
