All the dishes were good and well made… but the price was really too high… once upon a time you would travel miles to eat well in the mountains spending less… It wasn't like that… prices were really too high for 7 of us with 3 shared starters, 1 first course and a second course that I shared, dessert and house wine €40… no way!

We went today for the first time, recommended by a friend we met in Fanano. The restaurant was beautiful. We ordered four starters: balsamic vinegar risotto, pappardelle with wild boar ragù, gnocchi with truffle, and two types of cappelletti, one stuffed with pumpkin and one stuffed with spinach. Everything was fantastic. For the main course, braised venison and sliced venison, cooked to perfection. Fruit and desserts were also available. Kudos to the staff, thank you.

La Riserva del Re restaurant is located in Casina di Reggio Emilia, conveniently located on the main road,
with ample parking.
A traditional Reggio Emilia trattoria, also open in the summer.
A warm and welcoming place, with smiling and attentive staff.
Well-prepared dishes and excellent ingredients, the pappardelle with wild boar were delicious, the braised beef was also excellent, and the picanha with potatoes was superb!
The zuppa inglese was good, a little different from the traditional one. Wide selection of wines.
Prices are reasonable for the quality.
I will definitely be back.

A haven of flavor and tranquility in the Reggio Emilia hills
We visited *Riserva del Re* thanks to some friends who live in the area, and it was a truly pleasant discovery. The restaurant is in a quiet and secluded location, perfect for a relaxing evening surrounded by greenery.
The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and very welcoming, and the chef is truly skilled: every dish exudes care, balance, and authentic flavor.
We enjoyed delicious truffle gnocchi, gnocco and tigelle with excellent cured meats and cheeses, and a tender and flavorful tagliata, accompanied by an excellent Merlot.
A warm atmosphere, generous portions, and fresh, select ingredients.
An experience definitely worth repeating!
