This restaurant has a beautiful location, with an indoor area and a large gazebo overlooking the emerald-green lake with abundant trout.
The food was good; we chose everything fish-based, and it was worth it.
The only vegetable side dish is a fresh salad, otherwise boiled or fried potatoes.
But the fish was worth it, both the tagliatelle with trout and the fresh trout.
The staff were kind and attentive.

We discovered it by chance, passing by at lunchtime and without a reservation. The place was packed, but the service was quick and impeccable. Both the first course (tagliatelle with trout sauce) and the second course (grilled trout) were excellent, followed by coffee and a superb strudel. We loved the place.

Restaurant Rio Argento is always worth a visit! The service is excellent, friendly, and fast. The food is always fresh and tastefully prepared and presented. We've never eaten such good fish anywhere else in Friuli, and we've never felt as at home as we did with Sandro—the owner—and his well-coordinated team. His staff, like him, speak several languages perfectly and attend to guests with warmth and expertise.

Il ristorante Rio Argento merita sempre una visita! Il servizio è eccellente, cordiale e veloce. Il cibo è sempre fresco, preparato con gusto e presentato con carea. In fact, in Friuli, we don't have children, so we are good and we don't send them to the house that comes from Sandro - the property - and our team affiatato. We've known this restaurant for decades and always make a little detour when we're passing through the Canal Valley! Like this past Monday afternoon! Everything is simply perfect: the food is outstanding, the fish couldn't be fresher, the prices are right, the service is quick, and the cheerful owner even spontaneously gave us a bottle of wine this time! It was apparently a full house. The owner himself makes the places and supervises everything.
A real trout place, in all forms. Smoked, fish soup, grilled. There is everything else, steak, chicken, etc. Tiramisu is a must, it was divine!!
