First time here. The food and red wine were good. We were just about satisfied. The staff were a bit cold and couldn't even look us in the eye. The food was a bit overpriced for what you get. The restaurant is recommended for those with deep pockets.

First of all: We really enjoy high-quality food and are willing to pay accordingly. We enjoy cooking our own food and are good at it, and we know how to make risotto.
The service was unfriendly. The starter was good, but the portion was small and overpriced.
The risotto with shrimp, shrimp tartar with lime/lemon, and lavender sounded great, but was unfortunately inedible, as neither the shrimp nor the tartar were to be found. Instead, the shrimp were obviously pureed in the risotto, and an indefinable jelly was on top. The lemon puffs looked nice, as did the watercress garnish.
At least we weren't charged, even if the taste was questionable.

Very unfriendly staff, special requests are not accepted. The quality of the food is good, but you can't eat the highly praised Caesar salad. The pasta was good. The wait for the bill was long, and refills of drinks weren't offered either.

Bonito lugar acogedor para almorzar en Baveno. Buena comida. Buen ambiente. Lo disfrutamos fuera, con vista al lago y sonidos del pueblo italiano alrededor.

Lovely restaurant with terrace on one of the cobbled streets close to the lake side. Food was good quality and we were served with Italian humour.
I had the steak in red wine sauce with potatoes. The meat was tender and cooked as requested. The sauce was slightly bitter to my taste.

We put together a small menu, and everything was very good. The seating was quite pleasant, if a bit crowded.
The waitress seemed a bit reserved, but the food arrived quickly and was very tasty.

Abbiamo cenato in questo ristorante nelle vicinanze del nostro albergo. Ambiente carino e personale gentile ma pur avendo prenotato in anticipo abbiamo atteso 45 minuti per l'antipasto di affettati e altri 30 minuti per il primo servito pure freddo. Antipasto buono mentre la carbonara di pesce insapore
