It's a welcoming restaurant with a lovely atmosphere typical of the port area. The food is good, but I highly recommend booking in advance, as it's often very busy, even though it was a Thursday evening. I started with a house appetizer, which was really good and a good portion... I appreciated it... For my second course, I chose a mixed grill of fish, which, however, seemed a bit modest: a langoustine, a shrimp, a slice of swordfish, and a squid, well cooked but nothing exceptional. On the other hand, the typical Salerno dessert was delicious, the real surprise of the meal. Overall, the experience was positive, but the bill seemed a bit high for what was served.

We stopped in this lovely restaurant on our way back to our cruise ship. Wow we are so glad we did! The service & food was amazing & prices fair for the quality of food. My husband had prosciutto & mozzarella, simple but excellent taste, I had oysters - lovely!! Following these my husband had the steak & I had the seafood risotto, both perfect with a lovely dry white wine. We’d visit again n a heartbeat. Thank you Portovecchio for a highlight of our cruise!

Porto Vecchio is the ideal place for those who love fresh seafood and top-quality Mediterranean cuisine. As soon as you enter, you're surrounded by an elegant yet welcoming atmosphere and impeccable service—attentive, discreet, and always smiling.
The fish is of excellent quality, prepared with respect and enhanced by simple yet refined preparations. The seafood appetizers are a symphony of flavors: delicate tartare and light-as-a-cloud fried fish.
The first and second courses are surprising for their balance and presentation.
In short: quality, elegance, and authentic flavor. A restaurant that best represents Salerno's maritime tradition, with a touch of class.

The appetizers were very good, but unfortunately the spaghetti with clams was completely bland; even adding salt didn't do much to fix it. The main course also lacked salt, but luckily the appetizer was good.

Pranzo di lavoro molto apprezzato, antipasto misto di pesce buono (specialmente il frittino) e spaghetti cozze e fiori di zucca ottimi.
Si percepisce che il locale è storico e una rinfrescata/ammodernamento lo renderebbe sicuramente più appetibile comunque tutto buono.
Lo consiglio anche se essendo ospite non so il posizionamento economico.
