Ristorante Rivagiotti Poggio Cavallo In Grosseto

Unfortunately we were very disappointed with our visit. Even though there weren't many guests, the service was very slow. The food was okay, but not outstanding, as you might expect from the restaurant's website. The location is pretty.

A PERFECT EVENING IMMERSED IN THE GREEN OF THE MAREMMA WITH GOOD FOOD The Rivagiotti Restaurant in Poggio Cavallo, Grosseto, is hidden in the Tuscan Maremma countryside. We went with the family for dinner. The location is fantastic: a skilfully renovated farmhouse, which conveys a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere, immersed in the greenery of the Maremma hills. The menu is carefully designed and offers few, but well-structured courses, which fully reflect the flavors of the area with typical Tuscan and Maremma dishes. We started with a platter of Tuscan cured meats for two people, accompanied by pecorino cheese: all of excellent quality and authentic flavours. As a first course, the pappardelle with Tuscan ragù was simply exquisite. To conclude, we tasted three tiramisu, which were a sweet surprise. We accompanied the meal with a glass of Maremma white wine, which turned out to be excellent, and two bottles of water. The final bill of €87.00 was fair, considering the quality of the food and the beauty of the location. The service was a little slow, but in such a relaxing environment we didn't feel rushed and we enjoyed every moment. I highly recommend the Rivagiotti Restaurant to anyone who wants to spend a pleasant evening in an authentic Tuscan farmhouse, surrounded by nature and good food. Excellent from every point of view!

Beautiful location, beautiful environment... normal service and food but given the location it could be done better

Restaurant located in the Poggio del Cavallo farmhouse, in a magnificent location. The restaurant offers a small but carefully crafted menu per season. I've been there three times in one of the busiest seasons (August 15th week) and the quality of the food has always been very high. The only thing I can say is that perhaps the service could be increased when you know that you have events or many bookings. For the rest everything perfect
