A welcoming restaurant just steps from the Teatro Massimo. The dishes are tasty and plentiful. In addition to what we ordered, the manager offered us samples of typical Palermo cuisine. The staff were polite and friendly.

Nice place, but a bit too touristy in my opinion. Famous for their arancini. I preferred the ragù-flavored ones.

It was a good experience, this location is more for locals than tourists. We tried eggplant pizza, chiken with fries pizza, tuna pizza and calzone, all were very good. Very good customer service.

Buatta Cucina Popolana Palermo

04/03/2026: I don't understand why some restaurants get negative reviews. Buatta made me feel very welcome on both of my visits. Aside from the excellent food, I'd like to commend the hosts on both evenings. They were incredibly friendly and attentive, with a hands-on approach. I really appreciated that. The heart of any restaurant is always the kitchen, and they did a fantastic job. The appetizers—Focaccia "Sfincione," Caponata, Fish Sausage, Anelletti with Meat Ragout, Handmade Ravioli, and the Sardines "a Beccafico"—were all absolutely delicious. For dessert, be sure to try the Almond Parfait "Noto" or the Cassata. Unfortunately, they don't have a house wine, but the wine available by the glass is also very well-made, delicious, and reasonably priced. Thank you, dear Buatta team, for the wonderful evenings and the excellent service. Keep up the great work!

23/02/2026: Wonderful setting (huge outdoor spaces, charming interiors), surrounded by nature, just a short distance from Palermo. Excellent lunch, dishes prepared largely with fresh garden produce or top-quality ingredients. Reasonably priced and generous portions.
