28/07/2026: Excellent food, magnificent location and staff that pampers you!
21/07/2026: We just returned from an exceptional dinner at Fravento in Mondavio and can't wait to share our experience:
If you're looking for a place that combines the beauty of history with authentic food, this is the perfect place!
From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the enchanting atmosphere. The restaurant is located in an ancient building, a skillfully restored former convent, exuding charm and history from every stone. Dining in such an evocative setting, surrounded by centuries-old walls, made the evening even more special.
But let's get to the food, the real star. The menu is a celebration of local products and the Marche tradition, revisited with creativity and skill. We started with a mixed salad, which immediately highlighted the restaurant's philosophy: the freshest, highest-quality ingredients, prepared with care and respect. Each with a unique and authentic flavor.
For our first course, we chose gnocchetti, a triumph of flavors. The gnocchi were soft and light, and the white ragù was rich and flavorful, a true comfort food.
It's precisely in these simple dishes, where the details of the expertly prepared ingredients make all the difference, that the exceptional quality of Fravento's cuisine shines through.
For our second course, we had roast veal, a twist on the traditional dish, but exceptional.
Unfortunately, we were so full that we couldn't photograph the final course: a selection of local cheeses, each more delicious than the last, and an off-menu dessert that truly won us over: a crunchy crumble with yogurt cream and apricots. An explosion of freshness and sweetness that rounded off the dinner beautifully. The portions were just right, perfect for sharing and sampling multiple dishes.
As for wine, we followed the advice of the excellent Linda, who proved to be a delightful person with an eye for detail. She suggested a Bianchello del Metauro, a typical local white wine, fresh and fragrant, which paired perfectly with our dishes. A word of advice: if you want to fully savor the local tradition, don't hesitate to ask for a Bianchello!
The final bill was €78, an absolutely fair and affordable price considering the high quality of the food, the unique atmosphere, and the impeccable service.
In conclusion, we can highly recommend Fravento in Mondavio. It's a special place, where passion for food and love for the region come together to create an unforgettable food and wine experience. A special thanks to all the staff, and especially Linda, for making our evening even more enjoyable.
