The pizza I ate wasn't bad but the service/cuisine wasn't up to the number of diners. A lifetime passed between the first pizza and the last... it wasn't good. Sin. But overall not bad, as always

I spent two days in Mantua with my husband and, after visiting Palazzo Te, we thought we'd have dinner in this lovely and quiet restaurant. We had a very good time, treated kindly and served quickly, so we decided to return the next evening too. The first evening we ate pizza, finding it delicious: perfectly leavened and very digestible. On the second evening we opted for the first courses and our expectations were not disappointed this time either.

I went with my family to this pizza restaurant this evening. Comfortable place, excellent welcome and very kind owners. The seafood appetizers and fish-based first courses are delicious. I particularly tasted the octopus with sauce with wonderful crostini. The rich seafood salad delighted our palate. With delicacy and competence, the dishes were served by Mr. Pasquale who showed a lot of love in his work. I am a Professor from Caserta who, if I had to give a rating from one to ten, without hesitation, would give it an eleven. Thank you Prof. Gigi I forgot, the pizza consumed in the previous days was delicious. We'll see you again soon.

We had dinner at the Marechiaro pizza restaurant in Mantua before a show at Palazzo Te. Located in a quiet area of ​​the centre, the restaurant is easily reachable on foot from the main car parks in the city centre. As soon as we entered, we were struck by the wood-fired pizza oven, really interesting. We were accompanied to our table, located on a lovely outdoor veranda, which closes as evening falls, allowing us to dine under the stars or in the splendid light of the sunset. Inside, the restaurant offers tables in a classic environment, but at the same time refined and well organised. Struck by the charm of the wood-fired oven, we chose to try two pizzas: one with rocket and wild mushrooms and one with salmon. Both pizzas were delicious, with a light, perfectly risen dough, ideal cooking, crispy dough and high-quality fresh ingredients. Definitely among the best pizzas I've ever tasted. If you pass through these parts or simply want to enjoy a truly extraordinary pizza, Marechiaro is the right place for you. The service was impeccable and we will definitely be back to try other dishes on their menu.

Had an excellent meal there yesterday: penne with ragu was superb, slightly spiced swordfish with olives even better. Dolce to die for. Service was friendly and attentive. Recommended.
