Ristorante Pizzeria La Verace In Bologna

I love this place, I go there often because it has an exceptional gluten-free menu and the gluten-free pizza is truly delicious! However, the exception is the woman who answers the phone for reservations. My 3-star rating for service is because of her; she's very rude and unpleasant, and as soon as you try to ask for more information, she responds very rudely. Otherwise, I recommend it!

A place with no atmosphere. The food was average quality. The dishes were overly salty. The service was terrible. The waiter just looked at his phone and burned electronics everywhere. He wasn't interested in customers. I don't recommend it.

We came here for lunch on our first day of 6 to tour Emilia-Romagna region and returned on our last night to cap our experience. First to share is my spouse eats gluten free and this place's GF pizza is unreal! I mean for a non GF person I was blown away after decades tasting my spouse's not good to medicore GF pizzas. It was thin crust like regular non gluten pizzas and heavenly fluffy and crispy. I couldn't believe it when I had a slice of my spouse's pizza it was gluten free. Their fresh GF pasta is such a unique treat to experience the taste and texture and see my spouse lit up. Note: the balsamic drop on the plate to indicate gluten free pasta (photo). I really felt this was a new foodie experience with the fresh GF pizza and pasta here! Returning a second time after eating at over a dozen gluten free restaurants in the region of Emilia Romana the GF pizza blew us away again, it was not a fluke, it is consistent craft! For non GF food; the Tagliatelle con Ragu had a very rich deep flavour compared to other establishments we visited during our 6 day tour of the region and I wholey recommend, I didn't even add the parmigiano to ruin it's flavor. Prices here were also very reasonable compared to trendy historic center restaurants that we paid a lot more, had long waits and the taste and foodie experience did not hit the spot like at La Versace. The wait staff don't speak much English but menu is bilingual. I've highlighted what I believe you should know and why you should try this restaurant that's slightly off the main road near Bologna train station. Pictures will tell the rest. Enjoy your foodie experience in Bologna! Edit: We came back for a 3rd time after checking out of the hotel to savour the amazing gluten free pizza and pasta one more time! We also learned from the staff they have a dedicated section to make the fresh GF pastas and dough for those who are celiac. What a gem! If we come back to Bologna it is only to come eat here as a destination.

The best gluten-free place I've ever eaten, conveniently located just a 10-minute walk from the station. I had pizza and tiramisu, both gluten-free and so good that, a little shy for fear of being offensive, I asked for confirmation that everything was gluten-free. Very friendly staff, fast service, average prices, it will definitely be a regular stop when I pass through Bologna.

My wife and I had dinner last night. Pizza to start shared was superb simple margaretta but perfectly cooked tasty and was fast. Main course was tagliatelle and home made pasta with basil. Really delicious. Service was very fast despite other review comments here
