Nice place, there were two of us, and we got a table without having to wait.
We had an appetizer with mixed crostini... delicious, and two slices of steak. The one with mushrooms was very seasoned and flavorful, while the one with arugula and parmesan... the meat was delicious, tender, and tasty. The only problem was that the arugula didn't have a minimum amount of seasoning, like in other places. The condescension was minimal. For dessert, I recommended the panna cotta, which was homemade and very tasty. The only flaw was the slightly slow service, but perhaps because there was a table of about twenty people in the other room. Perhaps that's why the two waiters, a man and a woman, neglected us a little. But aside from this, the staff were very knowledgeable. They also make pizza in front of you; it looked very topped and appetizing.

We came tonight and were greeted late. We ordered pizza, a porcini mushroom steak, and wine. Everything was delicious, and the waiter was very welcoming. We didn't have to wait long, especially since it was late in the evening.

At Tavernetta last night, just steps from Pontedera, I found exactly the kind of welcome that makes you feel like you're on vacation even after a day at work. The place is warm, with attention to detail, with bottles of wine lining the walls and a convivial atmosphere that invites you to sit back and enjoy your dinner to the fullest. The service was attentive without being intrusive, always ready to explain the dishes and recommend the perfect pairings. The star of the evening was the Chianina beef: a tender, juicy meat, cooked to perfection, with that light crust on the outside enclosing a pink, flavorful center. Every bite was bursting with flavor, a sign of excellent ingredients and a truly confident kitchen.
To accompany the dish, a robust, aromatic red wine that holds its own against the meat without overpowering its nuances: a glass that makes you want to refill your glass.
To top it all off, a tiramisu "just like mom used to make": creamy, balanced, with just the right coffee flavor and that homey touch that makes you smile at first bite.
Overall, an experience to remember: quality cuisine, a pleasant atmosphere, and truly skilled staff.
Well done, well done, well done: a restaurant I can't wait to return to and one I recommend to anyone looking for an authentic and satisfying dinner in the Pontedera area.
