Sternatia, one of the stops on the Taranta this year, is a charming and quaint little village. This restaurant also offers excellent food and great value. There are plenty of tables, so if you're passing through, it's definitely worth a try.

A typical Salento restaurant in Sternatia... What can I say? Everything is delicious, with generous portions and an unrivaled value for money in the area. In addition to the traditional first courses, the horse meat is the best I've eaten in the last 10 years. Highly recommended. Furthermore, the service is friendly and attentive.

As always, a sure thing. We usually order pizza. We've changed, and we've had an appetizer and a first course, both delicious. The staff is friendly, courteous, and fast.

Abbiamo chiamato poco prima e hanno trovato modo di accogliere la nostra prenotazione.Cibo ottimo (io seppia in crosta con zucchine)e mio marito una buona tagliata con patate al forno e fritte e della buona verdura ripassata (tutto caldo). In più,avendo versato dell'acqua sulla tovaglia, subito hanno provveduto.Accompagnando il tutto con un sorriso Andateci ❤️

La location si trova semi-nascosta in una via secondaria di Sternatia, ma comunque facile da trovare. Entrando, la prima cosa che attira la nostra attenzione è la teca che ospita il pesce fresco in bella vista. Ci sono quattro accoglienti salette interne. I prodotti sono di ottima qualità, così come il rapporto qualità-prezzo. Professionali e simpatici gli operatori in sala. Consigliata la prenotazione.

26/08/2025: A beautiful location with a large internal courtyard, where on a summer evening there were about 50 customers. Nothing to complain about the dishes, except that some of the ingredients on the dish weren't listed on the menu, such as burrata. Another flaw was that when we asked for parmesan, we were served a 5-gram sachet, a teaspoonful. But the real problem was the wait between appetizers and first courses, about 45 minutes. The service could be improved.
24/07/2025: The owner and chef, Gianni, is a very serious person who pays attention to the tastes of his customers. We ate some raw fish, including some amazing salt-baked purple shrimp! We repeated the next evening with pizza, both the dough and the cooking were excellent. The staff were welcoming and kind. A restaurant in the heart of Salento where you can enjoy a truly authentic food and wine experience, with excellent value.
