Stop in Sternatia for the Cammino del Salento and dine here at La Porta Antica. We ordered the fritto misto, tagliolini with radicchio, shrimp, and orange, linguine with lemon pesto and shrimp, and for dessert, pistachio spumone and chocolate soufflé. Everything was delicious, and the first courses were generous and delicious. The staff were incredibly friendly. I highly recommend it; the food is truly delicious. Congratulations, well done! This restaurant also has outdoor seating. Typical Salento dishes, excellent quality, a little above average but the quality is worth it. Wide selection. Recommended. If we return to the area, we'll definitely return to this place; it's worth a detour.

Excellent service, pizzas could be improved

La Porta Antica is an excellent restaurant, focusing on fresh, traditional local cuisine, with a few more exotic options. While the ambiance, on a purely personal and aesthetic level, doesn't particularly captivate me, the rest does. Dining at La Porta Antica is an absolutely top-notch experience that I highly recommend to lovers of good food. Whether it's pizza, meat, or seafood (including raw fish), just thinking about the dishes makes my mouth water. With slightly above-average prices, you can enjoy dishes that are decidedly above-average, and believe me when I say that every bite will be worth it. And what can I say about the service? It's always impeccable, practical, fast, and always smiling, despite the place being, as you might imagine, very crowded. My heartfelt congratulations to everyone who works in a demanding and demanding sector like the restaurant industry and does it so excellently.

Average food, I was there a few years ago and both the food and the prices were definitely better, now the prices have gone up and the quality has dropped a bit, the service leaves a bit to be desired as you see waiters running from one side of the garden to the other without deigning to look at you, not even there the thought of asking if everything is okay or if once we have finished one dish if we want to order something else, in fact I wanted dessert but by dint of waiting for someone to ask me I lost the desire, a piece of advice: take on fewer customers and take more care of the ones you have, you will gain in respect of the same, and if a customer feels pampered they are happy to come back, it feels like being at the supermarket, one goes after another, you don't go to the restaurant just to eat but to spend a pleasant evening, there it's all a rush.

Informal atmosphere, a dinner with friends that was significantly disrupted by a table of screaming and overexcited children. The food was very good, homemade and flavorful, truly Salento. The selection of meat and fish, first and second courses was truly astonishing. Appetizers varied and delicious. The waiters were very busy but attentive to our requests. The potato panzerotti and meatballs were delicious. The seafood pasta was fabulous. We'll definitely be back to try other delicious dishes, hoping for a less chaotic experience this time.

Abbiamo chiamato poco prima e hanno trovato modo di accogliere la nostra prenotazione.Cibo ottimo (io seppia in crosta con zucchine)e mio marito una buona tagliata con patate al forno e fritte e della buona verdura ripassata (tutto caldo). In più,avendo versato dell'acqua sulla tovaglia, subito hanno provveduto.Accompagnando il tutto con un sorriso Andateci ❤️

Ottimo ristorante caratteristico; ottime le linguine ai ricci di mare. Buoni i gamberoni al pepe verde. Ottimo cortese e rapido servizio.
