I had a quick lunch with my husband in April 2025. I had an excellent artichoke salad accompanied by crescentine, while my husband had traditional tortellini, which did not disappoint. The dishes were generous and reasonably priced. I would go back.

We dined there three nights in a row, sampling many of the culinary specialties for which Bologna is famous. Excellent food, friendly and professional staff. We'll be back.

I happened to dine accidentally with my kids (12-15), traditional and very nice atmosphere, solid food as you would expect from a restaurant in Bologna. Recommended to start with Crescentine and Tagliare, venture yourselves into Tagliatele, gramigna or larga Bologna. We didn’t manage to try meat because we wanted to save some space for desserts, you can’t leave the table without diving a spoon into their tiramisu and even better the crema mascarpone. We retuned after three days - and confirmed the same positive experience!

Pretty good food and service, especially at new years eve but we had a dinner here one more time earlier and enjoyed it too.

Congratulations to Trattoria Finestrella. Very nice and elegant place. Very friendly staff. Very good table service. What can I say about the excellent food? I ate very well. The dessert was excellent. I am very satisfied.

I got here because it was one of the very few places open at Christmas Day and am only leaving this review (something I never do) because I’m pretty surprised by the other reviews. I’m a tourist and was treated well (we always try to speak italian even though it’s very obvious we can barely grasp it). Arrived here at 2pm, food was great, dishes were BIG and delicious, staff was pleasant. Granted, our first experience in Bologna, but are leaving very satisfied :)
