We had lunch at Trattoria la Finestrella, the location is located next to the famous window of Bologna, we had the Bolognese cutlet accompanied by baked potatoes, very good and tasty, the meat was slightly tough but overall a positive experience, the friendly staff was a little 'hectic due to the abundant flow of people

I was there some years ago, but now seemed to me a restaurant more orientated to tourist than a traditional trattoria.
Eventhough the food was good.
And the service from the waitresses excellent!

Wine, lasagna and meat dishes were delicious, but grilled vegetables were far older than from yesterday and very cold.

The restaurant is quite cozy, when we visited it a few summers ago we (me and my sister) sat outside in the shade. Before the meal, they brought you a baguette and some grated cheese in case you needed extra - both of which is a fairly common practice in Italy. The restaurant menu was short and thoughtful, and I was interested in more than one of the dishes on offer there. However, when you dine in the city where the first tortellini dumplings were manufactured (as reflected in all the tourist gift shops), it would seem strange not to try them.
I had tortellini dumplings filled with cream cheese and spinach, served in a walnut sauce. The dumplings were soft and you could feel that they were very fresh. For dessert, tiramisu was chosen, which also left a very pleasant impression. The tiramisu cream was very soft and melted in my mouth. I would definitely call it one of the best ones I have ever had.
I quite liked the fact that in Italy the waiters are generally relaxed and don't feel the need to ask you 3 times 'is everything OK? is there anything missing?'. After bringing your order, after a while they might ask you if it's good, but then they'll probably back off. You go to pay when you're ready - it looked like you could sit still for hours if there were no other people waiting for a seat. However, I would find it rude to do so, which is why I don't really stay in cafés after I've eaten. Especially when travelling - after all, there is always something to see besides a plate of lovely and delicious food.
