The last days of this second part of our vacation...Pizzo is still Pizzo, and Il Frago, as has been the case for many years, has made our evenings more enjoyable, with that table for 40 waiting for us, front row, every evening, with the sincere welcome of those who open their home to you!
I confirm the excellent quality and impeccable service.
In these first days of September, we've found the team a few more members...my husband Carlo and I extend our thanks to EVERYONE.

Time passes, but Il Frago is always a guarantee! Every return to Pizzo is something extra, knowing you're returning to Il Frago. Luigi and Enzo are unbeatable! Sincere compliments for the quality of your dishes, the care, and the professionalism you show your customers. Impeccable table service from Mimmo, who's away these days (but he's still here!), Paola, and Francesco.

Il Frago is yet another reason to choose Pizzo Calabro for your holidays. I stumbled upon it by chance, with my husband, while strolling along the beautiful seafront a few years ago, and since then, every vacation we've had in Calabria includes a return to Pizzo and this place, where we feel at home! The food (both restaurant and pizzeria) is excellent, thanks to the quality of the ingredients, the skill in preparing the dishes, and the generous portions. Luigi, who runs this restaurant and pizzeria with his brother Enzo, an unsurpassed pizza chef, is truly professional. Excellent table service, provided by skilled staff, especially Mimmo and Pasquale. It's clear that, beyond their professionalism, there's a lot of heart behind everything the owners and staff do. Fair prices. I recommend it without hesitation.

Domenico provided us with outstanding service, was always cordial and surprised us with a bag of wine corks for our collection. A spectacular waiter that also provided us with suggestions on the menu and travel ideas!

It's no longer the same place it once was, where eating was a real pleasure. Calling it pizza is a big word, it felt like eating baked bread with ingredients on top 🤦 ps. Change the tomato you use, it's acidic and flavorless. Now let's talk about the food; the 3 stars come from there because the pasta was good even though the clams were farmed and not real. They were good, though, as was the fried calamari, even though you could count the pieces on one hand. The staff was perfect, polite, and helpful.

We ate here twice, first for pizza and second for fish. Both times were delicious, the staff were friendly, and the view was beautiful.

We had excellent fried calamari and excellent seafood linguine! The nduja croquettes were also exceptional! The pizza was also delicious.
We come back here every year and have never been disappointed! The photo of the fried food doesn't reflect the quantity because we couldn't resist and started eating before taking photos 😂
The staff is very friendly.

We visited this restaurant and tried a first course with crab that was simply exquisite, another with red shrimp of sufficient quality, a mussels with pepper sauce that was delicious and just the right amount of spicy, and finally a delicious fried fish dish. We will definitely be back.

The food was delicious. I felt the wait for the food was a bit too long, but it was worth it. The staff was friendly, but you had to get the waiter's attention.

Now only the name remains at Frago.
We went to eat a few days ago. In the meantime, to order we had to wait a little more than 20 minutes, once ordered we wait for the food I have to say that I am not a person who often goes out to dinner but when I go and spend money I would like to be happy. Mixed fried food 5 calamari 3 prawns paid 16 euros that were not calamari but cuttlefish they were rubber after a while at the table next to ours a mixed fried food arrived that was double ours, pasta removed first not even al dente that was supposed to be with red prawn but there was nothing of prawn only two prawns that were red I don't know how long they had been there. Mostly slow service and I saw that more than one person complained there was someone who even sent the pizza away. Highly not recommended. And in any case update the menu because the pasta only with cream or with stracciatella there is not even a linguine with clams on the menu call chef Antonino who can help you update you.
