I was in Assisi last weekend with my boyfriend and we stumbled upon this restaurant while wandering the streets. Thanks to the very friendly and charming owner, we had a typical Umbrian culinary experience. We ordered fried artichokes and scrambled meat as appetizers, and for main courses, Norcina and an off-menu first course with creamed broccoli, bacon, and pecorino cheese. To round out our meal, we ordered a chocolate cake.
The restaurant is rustic and quite small but very welcoming.

Owner Fabio offers exceptional hospitality and service. Excellent selection of ingredients! Everything was prepared with meticulous care by his wife. From appetizers to desserts, everything was impeccable. We had the pleasure of tasting traditional dishes that left us impressed and satisfied. Not at all touristy, but in a great location. It was a pleasure to spend Sunday lunch there. The place is also very quaint and well-kept. They are very welcoming, even with our four-legged friends. Highly recommended.

The service was impeccable. The owner, who served as our waiter throughout the evening, was brilliant and professional, eager to provide detailed explanations of the elaborate dishes on the menu, and a pleasant conversationalist.
The dishes we ordered were delicious, a welcome mix of tradition and innovation.
We particularly enjoyed the pork cubes drizzled with honey and accompanied by roasted polenta, and the Montefalco pear with melted pecorino cheese.
This restaurant is highly recommended if you want to experience authentic cuisine using traditional Umbrian ingredients, especially for its excellent value and the characteristic setting of medieval Assisi!

This is one of our favourite restaurants in Assisi. Chiara and her team are wonderful, creative chefs. Fabio is hilarious and attentive, nothing is a problem. Amazing cuisine, very innovative whilst keeping the Italian tradition of the food.
