07/01/2026: This restaurant was truly a pleasant surprise, giving us a great start to 2026 with a lunch of remarkable quality and authentic flavors. Let's start with the restaurant, which was a wonderful step back in time for those, like me, who appreciate the simple, unpretentious atmosphere we're unfortunately accustomed to today, with its standardized styles that leave nothing to the imagination. The decor is typical of the '70s and '80s, and I personally suggested to the owner, Carlo, that he leave it intact, as it reminded me of the many family gatherings I'd had with my loved ones when I was a kid and we'd go out for Sunday lunch. The menu was a triumph of authentic, traditional dishes from our area. The appetizer was a classic selection of cured meats and dairy products, all extremely fresh, but with the unique accompaniment of fragrant grilled vegetables and a truly five-star pumpkin and bean soup. The first courses, homemade ravioli with sauce, were nothing short of excellent, followed by equally excellent fusilli with sausage and porcini mushrooms. For main courses, a phenomenal scamorza cheese cooked in a terracotta pot and an excellent sliced pork with potatoes, perfectly cooked, served with the freshest arugula. Last but not least, the very fair price per person, despite it being New Year's Day, included water, soft drinks, and a delightful, full-bodied house Montepulciano wine. A special mention for all this was given to Anna, who served the tables with extraordinary courtesy and professionalism, thanks in part to the special consideration she gave to one of our granddaughters with celiac disease, for whom a carefully curated menu was created, starting with the bread sealed to prevent contamination. I would also like to highlight the friendliness of the owners, Carlo and his wife, who were able to ensure prompt service despite the large number of customers, and who often came into the dining room with great warmth to greet their guests. What more can I say except that I highly recommend this restaurant for its excellent value and its very relaxed, family-like atmosphere, which is truly rare these days. Trust me, going there will be a pleasant surprise for you too.
21/12/2025: I've been there several times, and today we had a lunch with friends and members of our association, Fermata Ricreativa.
The food was delicious, and the staff was friendly and helpful, as always. Carlo and the entire team were excellent at their work, even accommodating our sometimes very specific needs.
