I've been to this restaurant many times, and on average, we've always had good food.
The portions are decidedly generous, especially the pasta alla roccia.
The fried calamari, unfortunately, aren't exceptional: I find the fish lacks meat and is a bit rubbery.
What we liked best was the dessert: the nonna's cream is superb. It could be even better if the biscuits were a little more alcoholic...
Prices are medium-high.
For an appetizer for 4, 2 first courses, 2 second courses, 1 bottle of sparkling wine, 2 waters, 4 desserts, and 3 coffees, we spent 157 euros... so about 39 euros per person.
Overall... I would gladly return.

The paella was plentiful; perhaps the only flaw was that it didn't have much of a crust, but it was good. The desserts are also worth mentioning.

You're never disappointed. Always excellent food and impeccable service. Spaghetti allo scoglio is fantastic. Highly recommended.

Great service, the girl who served us, with the queue without glasses, was very attentive to our needs, before we spoke....
The only flaw is that the fish salad in my opinion, should be served warm, not cold from the fridge and the cover charge is too expensive. I wouldn't go back....

A restaurant with a capital R
We went to Al Pioppeto for lunch and the experience was impeccable. The service was friendly, attentive and professional: you really feel welcomed with warmth. We tried the gnocchi, really delicious, and a crispy and light mixed fry, prepared with great care. To top it all off, an unmissable Neapolitan pastiera: a dessert that alone is worth the visit. We will definitely be back! I recommend booking, especially on weekends.

Sunday for lunch my husband and I both had a mixed grill of really heavy meat overall and the rib was just nauseating fat...not recommended not even a slice of polenta...meh
The wait was 1 hour
Cover charge €3 and water €3 madness given that it was also filtered.
