We had dinner here somewhat by chance, looking for a pizzeria in the towns near our accommodation... a revelation!! The appetizer was made with quality ingredients and excellent fried dough to accompany it, and then the pizzas... a spectacle! Large, well-filled, thin and crispy... special... the owners are down-to-earth, attentive to your needs, and very kind... we'll recommend this place to everyone!

We were there this afternoon—hungry and somewhere between lunch and dinner—it was fantastic. Despite the time, we had wonderful food and the hospitality was very warm. If we were vacationing in the village, we would definitely be there every evening. ❤️ thank you

The starter was delicious. My friend had a focaccia that was absolutely amazing, and I had a kind of antipasto with fried bread, which was delicious. Unfortunately, the main course was a bit disappointing; the meat was very overcooked and burnt in some places. The pizza was fine.
It was my friend's birthday, and I'd asked beforehand if they could put candles on a cake as a surprise, and you agreed. We'd agreed to bring it after dinner. But then you asked if we wanted dessert, and my friend was modest and said no. So you came over with the candles and stuck them on bread that was already on the table. I thought it was a real shame, and I'm also a bit sad about it. You could have easily said no if you didn't want to do it, because this was a bit of a disappointment.

We went there on Sunday, July 20, 2025, for lunch. The appetizer was a souffle, mixed salad, pork ribs, and grilled rabbit. It's clear they enjoy serving you good food. Everything was delicious and homemade. We'll definitely be back to try their other dishes.

Family-run restaurant in Benabbio, not far from Bagni di Lucca.
We've been there twice already, and I recommend you try it. Reservations are required because the place is small. The staff is friendly, and the dishes are truly exquisite.
We tried various appetizers; the cheese platter with various types of honey is sublime, along with the vegan flans, the crostini, and, last time, the prosciutto and figs. Mouth-watering.
For starters, we tried the tagliatelle with wild boar, the pici with duck, the tortelli with ragi, and the maltagliati with venison. A delight.
We promised ourselves next time we'd try the main courses, from the mixed roast to the wild boar stew we saw passing by.
The prices were truly fair for the quantity and the excellent quality.

First of all, I have to thank them for welcoming us after our reservation at the Pian di Fiume farmhouse had been cancelled without warning. Despite it being almost 2 p.m., they still seated us and treated us with great kindness and understanding, and for that they deserve further praise. For lunch, we ate reasonably well: the fried pasta was amazing, the grilled meat excellent, and the first courses were perhaps not exceptional, but still good. Unfortunately, the wait was a bit long, but I'm not complaining, as there were 12 of us, and since we hadn't booked, we certainly put the kitchen on edge. Perhaps they could have solved this with a single menu, rather than suggesting we order from the menu. The staff, however, was kind and helpful, and the price was also low for the gargantuan portions they served.

Really nice place, really good food and super friendly staff!
- You have to drive up the mountain a bit, and parking is tricky since you either have to find a spot next to the restaurant on the street, or you can try a free parking area just a few hundred meters away, but it is full most of the time.
- The eaiting time can be a bit long, since there are not that many workers (at least at dinner time), but they are open during lunch as well which is pretty rare in the area.
- If you like thin pizza or good italian pasta give the place a chance!

A hidden gem in the mountains! We loved it so much, we came back the next day. Every dish, from antipasti to pasta, soup, and pizza, was full of heart and flavor.
What truly stayed with us was the warmth of the staff — so genuinely kind, smiling, and attentively thoughtful in every detail.
The rock playlist was a lovely extra for us! Really, a beautiful, authentic place that touched our hearts. :)
