Ristorante pizza e bar da celio In Venezia

05/11/2023: Contrary to some other reviews I thought that this was a very decent restaurant in a lovely location. Yes it is right in the most touristy part of Venice so it is a bit more expensive, but there is a great view of the Rialto bridge, especially at night, and the food was still good and decent value. Staff were helpful and friendly also.

29/10/2023: This was a last minute decision for dinner on 9/3/2023. The historic regatta had been held this day with the Grand Canal being shut down for several hours. We had had a long day and decided to cancel our reservation which would have had us walking a bit more than we felt in a mood to do this evening. This restaurant is not part of the Hotel Rialto although it's located right at the hotel. We were staying at the Hotel Rialto so this was so close. Just go out the hotel doors and the restaurant is right there. It's 7:45 pm and the place is busy. We have no reservation but we're lucky in that we were seated right away at a nice table. From our table there are views of the Grand Canal and the Rialto Bridge. Good for people watching as lots of foot traffic walking by. Drinks-beer for my husband and a glass of house red wine for me. Bread basket. I ordered the lasagna which is a favorite of mine. Unfortunately the pasta was way overcooked-almost mushy. My husband got the grilled chicken. It came with fries. The chicken was overcooked too and a bit dry. The fries did not taste freshly made. All in all a disappointment but certainly not the worse dinner we've ever had. It was fine for us this evening as we were tired and didn't want to venture far from our hotel. Service was fine. Food pretty much average. Cost 74€/$77.28. A bit pricey we thought.
