I can't recommend this restaurant, there wasn't a dish on the daily menu, the steak was ordered medium rare and a half-rare piece of meat was brought that consisted mostly of fat and tendons. To be fair, we didn't have to pay for the steak after complaining. The service was anything but expert, inattentive and only discreetly friendly. A bottle of wine that we ordered came to the table already opened and we only received a wine cooler when we asked. The dishes were more lukewarm than hot. Overall a disappointment. Update or response to feedback from the owner: Since the proprietario does not have any connection with our specialist specialists, the comment is "incompetent clients" and is arrogant.

Excellent restaurant a stone's throw from the lively square which surprises with its cozy, bucolic and calm interior courtyard. The staff were very charming and the cuisine refined and plentiful. The spaghetti with truffles was succulent and the plate very generous with lots of large slices of truffle. Recommended!

Located in the historic center, a welcoming old room, a beautiful terrace shaded by an ancient vine. The bathrooms are beautiful and clean. Good revisited traditional menu. Very kind staff. Good choice of wines. Advised.

Restaurant Lo Scalo

16/10/2024: Probably one of the best restaurants in Cannobio. I was there in summer 24 and fall 2024. Both times the food was exceptionally good. 5 stars +
03/10/2024: We went to Lo Scalo for dinner on the last day of our vacation. The table was reserved on the terrace. There was an outdoor heater which made it comfortable for us to sit on this chilly day. The food was wonderful. The Vitello Tonnato was a very good, original interpretation. The following porcini mushrooms with pasta were the best pasta dish with mushrooms that I have ever had in a restaurant. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the porcini mushrooms were fresh, the black truffle completed the dish very well. The tiramisu at the end of the menu was also great. The service was very attentive and friendly. Overall, we found the food very good, the portions large enough, and the prices, even for the bottle of wine, reasonable.
