It was truly a pleasant discovery...highly recommended. Excellent raw fish, compliments to the owners.

Went for lunch on Sunday and found the fish to be of the highest quality, the tasty preparations not overpowering the fresh flavor of the fish, but above all, the dishes were generous and full of love. The entire staff was friendly and smiling. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

I went with a group of friends.....and they were all satisfied and complimented us on the choice of the place, a simple place but very fresh fish, we will be back soon!

We were pleasantly surprised to find all the positive reviews we've read about this place are actually true! "Pescheria ristorante in alto mare" is a small but welcoming place, with extremely attentive and friendly staff, good ingredients, generous portions (GENUINE!!), and prices absolutely affordable! We ordered fried baby octopus as an appetizer (really good!), pasta with clams (a half portion for my child, which was the equivalent of a normal portion), linguine with anchovies and anchovy sauce (they didn't skimp on the fish, beautifully seasoned, perfectly cooked and flavorful), spaghetti with sea urchins (according to my partner, who is a sea urchin enthusiast, it was one of the best he's had in Rome), and two glasses of Ribolla. We left extremely satisfied with the experience and will definitely be back!! P.S. This place has absolutely nothing to envy from other more renowned and popular ones. Keep it up!

My wife and I only eat fish, eating out, so we know plenty of seafood restaurants. In alto mare is definitely top of the list. The quality of the fish is excellent, and Sandro (the owner and chef) is imaginative and generous. The prices are more than fair.

A little slice of the sea on the Tuscolana! Naturally friendly, but the dishes are fantastic!
