On the advice of a friend, we decided to organize our wedding lunch there. What can I say... Thank you Federico!! He organized everything perfectly. The lunch was perfect, everything delicious, the dining room in the grotto was gorgeous, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. A friendly atmosphere that made you feel like you were among friends. A day we'll never forget, thanks in part to the lunch. Thank you Barbara!

What a find. A set menu of starters, mains, seconds and dessert for dinner including coffee and water. For the mains and seconds we could choose either fish or meat. The service is fast, friendly and not fussy, just like home. You won't leave hungry for sure! The hours stated on Google is confusing. It was explained to us that those are the hours to call them. They are open for dinner all year round. Lunch and dinner services are available on the weekends. To avoid disappointment, it's best to give them a call. Highly recommended!!!

A pleasant experience, the only flaw I found was the speed with which the courses were served... I understand there are a lot of courses, but perhaps you should give diners a little more time to savor the dishes... The food quality was good, not exceptional, but good value. A very welcoming and unique place.

It was a dream! It couldn't be more Italian! Great hosts! Great location, and the food was simply fantastic! Lots of delicious little plates with homemade delicacies! If you want to truly experience the Italian feeling, you have to go there!

I think I first visited Pepen over 50 years ago. It maintains the spirit of a menu driven by multiple tastings.

I'm rarely euphoric, but everything here is just perfect! Sabrina is happy to accept table reservations in English, too. The two of us were there on a Wednesday evening, and it was busy. There's only a (good) wine list; the food comes fresh from the kitchen, and they serve whatever was planned for the day. You only have the choice between a set menu and a "menu light," with the latter offering only a pasta and a main course (you can then choose which option you'd like for both courses). The set menu costs €35, the light option €30. The wine list is extensive, and they also offer wines by the glass for €6 for half a liter. I had the white wine, and it was very good. Water, espresso, and a limoncello are included. After the seven different cold and warm antipasti (we were immediately warned that you should only eat the bread if you're really hungry!), I had two pasta courses: homemade ravioli with ragu and triofie with pesto, potatoes, and beans. Then came a fish dish (sea bream with scampi on potatoes) and a meat dish (pork fillet with mashed potatoes). To finish, there was a freshly baked shortcrust pastry tart with a cherry filling and warm vanilla sauce. The overall atmosphere in the vaulted cellar was very informal, the service was prompt, unobtrusive, and very friendly! The food was very good, and the price/price ratio was more than acceptable. The restaurant is a bit out of the way, about a 15-minute drive from Chiavari, but it's definitely worth it!

We were renting down the street and popped in for dinner. It was a pre-fixed menu with multiple courses and allowed us to taste many delicacies. We really enjoyed the fried gnocchi and zucchini. The server was so patient with us with the language barrier. I would highly recommend stopping by to have a real feel of a small hillside town!
