We had lunch at this little restaurant a few days ago. A special experience!
They welcomed us with great kindness and warmth, even though it was outside of kitchen hours. We enjoyed a delicious appetizer of cured meats, local cheeses, and a mix of crostoni. Truly sublime. Next, we chose two first courses with homemade pasta, both delicious and delicate. The service was impeccable; the staff was cheerful, attentive, and incredibly sweet.
They offered us delicious hazelnut cantucci. Pane Vino e Zucchero (Bread, Wine, and Sugar) is an absolute must-see! ♡

A truly fantastic place!
Andrea guided us through our selection of dishes with warmth and professionalism, providing us with details about each one upon request.
I absolutely recommend the Chianina fillet; it was phenomenal, the meat melted in your mouth.
Compliments to the rest of the staff, too!
It's clear when someone does their job for pleasure, rather than duty!
If we ever return to Pienza, we'll definitely visit again!

We had the pleasure of dining here with our small dog (who was happily accepted).
The owner is passionate about his work, and it shows. All the dishes (each one better than the last) were carefully explained, and the same attention was paid to the customer's requests.

We had dinner for four on the evening of August 15th. We had a wonderful time with both the owner and the very kind and welcoming staff. We ordered two excellent appetizers and were even greeted warmly. The first courses were delicious, as was the meat. I also highly recommend the special tiramisu for the finale.
Unlike other local restaurants, they have opening hours that are suitable for everyone. A great experience, definitely worth repeating!

We met Andrea (the owner) while looking for a good restaurant for the Ferragosto holiday. He was immediately very friendly and charismatic (as you'd expect). We chose the platter to share (there were 2 of us). Andrea advised us to wait to order more... always leave plenty of time; amazing!! We struggled to finish it!!! Very empathetic even with those who hadn't booked... you always hope to find restaurateurs like him!!! Highly recommended!!!

Dinner at Pane Vino & Zucchero is more than just a meal: it's a true journey through the authentic flavors of the Val d'Orcia. In a warm and welcoming atmosphere, we enjoyed carefully selected local products paired with excellent local wines, chosen with skill and passion.
But the real added value of this restaurant is the owner, who, with great humanity and dedication, conveyed his love for his work and his land. Each dish is described, highlighted, and shared with infectious enthusiasm, making the experience even more special.
A place that feels like home, where tradition and passion meet on the plate and in the glass. Highly recommended for those seeking authenticity and warmth, in addition to good food.

We ate here twice during our stay in Pienza and each time we had divine food. The food and wine were excellent, the owner was a wonderful person, and the bill was always fair. We highly recommend this experience. We will definitely return on our next visit to Pienza.
