I'll start by saying I ate well, using quality ingredients! My only criticism is the service. Paying €4 for a cover charge, I expected more professionalism from the waiters, who were very kind but inexperienced. We were seated in front of a cupboard with drawers and bottles on top, and four times they came to the table to get napkins from a drawer or bottles. The drawers were difficult to open, and twice my husband had to help the girl pull the drawer: perhaps the table in that area should be eliminated! At the end of the meal, we got up to pay the bill and waited 10 minutes for the owner because he was busy in the kitchen.

Excellent! I traveled 130km to eat tortelli like my grandmother, who was from Mantua, used to make, and it was totally worth it! Too bad about the parking.

We stopped by for lunch on Sunday out of curiosity as to who had won the Foodish show about the city of Mantua: in fact, the tortello mantovano had a strong flavor and the pasta was exceptional :-) the person next to me who ordered tortelli di zucca was equally satisfied! It is no coincidence that Bastianich won precisely this dish. The atmosphere recalls its name and recalls ancient and rocky places in a modern key: spectacular... a sore point about the service, unfortunately... a waitress with an initial know-it-all attitude really showed herself when she asked us three quarters of an hour after the order, which she herself took... honestly, we were already tired of waiting... even a table of 9 people next to us was unhappy with the long waits and various absent-mindedness. The dish was delicious... but I don't know if I'll stop a second time... service also counts.

Very high expectations, the restaurant recommended by the B&B owner as one of the best in Mantua. It won the show with Bastianich. We were greeted coldly upon arrival; we waited a bit for the table we'd reserved the day before to become available. After a good half hour, the first courses arrived, but one was missing, arriving much later. The tagliolini in white veal ragù was very good, the pumpkin tortelli were good but not exceptional, and the agnoli with butter and sage were average. The problem was the small portions, but that's how it is. We ordered a beef stew, which unfortunately took another hour to arrive (it was good, but by then we'd lost our enthusiasm), and the potatoes never arrived at all. There was a general sense of confusion, and the service was unwelcoming (€4 each) and rushed. Other tables also complained about the delays. The prices were too high for what was on offer. The place is unrealistic, and there's much room for improvement in many areas.

Excellent restaurant in Mantua, just steps from the city center. A welcoming atmosphere for sampling traditional dishes. Excellent Gonzaga salad with capon and pumpkin tortelli.

My experience at Ochina Bianca isn't entirely convincing. The food, appetizers and first courses—there were two of us—was very good. The wait, however, was decidedly too long: over 60 minutes between appetizers and first courses, which arrived after three polite reminders. The service: one of the waiters, under a lot of pressure, was trying his best, but I think there was tension among the staff. This overall situation, combined with the late hour, led us to leave without anything else. Perhaps it was a bad night.

We had the pleasure of eating at this restaurant for lunch over the weekend.
The gentleman who greeted us at the entrance, I think the owner, was extremely kind and helpful from the start.
Honestly, I hadn't eaten this well at a restaurant in a long time; there wasn't a single bad thing.
The entire table had a first course and a second course, some fish and some meat. Everything was truly perfect. The wine list also seemed well-stocked.
The atmosphere is very refined and elegant, yet makes you feel at ease. The prices may be a little higher than other places, by a few euros, but I have to say it's worth every penny!
Next time we're in Mantua, we'll definitely be back here!

Excellent traditional Mantuan food, slightly off the main drag but in a quiet area within walking distance of the center. I would recommend it.
