Vallgeni Abbey has given us much more. Guido and Maddalena, the owners, allowed us to experience Gubbio from the inside, actively, accompanying us with enthusiasm on a journey to discover flavors and the people who give meaning to those flavours. Guido, among other things, deals with nutrition by profession. Stefano satisfied our every need with care and attention: he too is responsible for the extra kilos we brought home. The privilege of participating in a solidarity initiative made our stay in Vallgeni less individual, less personal. With the other guests we formed a nice group: this too is value. As a value, for those who need it, the Church annexed to the abbey is. Or the swimming pool open onto the valley, which stimulates thought with the view. The abbey is a place that "pushes" guests to socialize, to exchange their knowledge and lives, it is a place that wants to introduce Umbrian people, Umbrian cuisine, Umbrian products. Behind a simple holiday there is a beautiful human project that they carry forward together with many ideas. However, I think it's right not to tell everything so that you can find out firsthand.
